ObjectivesThough observing the influence of acupuncture Neiting point on the appetite of the simple obesity patients with gastrointestinal heat type, by evidence-based medicine research methods, to explore the acupuncture therapeutic regimen for simple obesity patients with gastrointestinal heat type.MethodsTo divide 60 cases into treatment group and control group by using randomized controlled design method, then to observe the influence of the weight, the abdominal circumference, the appetite, etc. under acupuncture combined with Neiting point, to analysis by using the statistics method, and to evaluate the efficacy and the safety of this treatment, in order to set a definite effective acupuncture treatment for the simple obesity with hyperphagia.Result1. The consequence of the treatment group after the first course of treatment, 16.7% were remarkably improved, and the total effective rate was 66.7%; after the second course,30.0% were remarkably improved, and the total effective rate was 90.0%; after the third course,50.0% were remarkably improved, and the total effective rate was 93.3%. The effect, of which the third course compared to the second or the first course, and the second course compared to the first course, had significant differences (P<0.05)2. After the treatment, the weight, the BMI, the abdominal circumference and the level of appetite of both groups had decreased significantly(P<0.05). We can confirm that the effect of acupuncture with Neiting point for simple obesity with hyperphagia is definite.3. Compared between two groups, the effect of losing weight was insignificant (P>0.05); the decrease of the level of appetite is significant(P<0.05). The results demonstrated that the treatment group had the same effect with the control group on losing weight; and the treatment group was better to the control group on decreasing the hyperphagia.ConclusionThe treatment on simple obesity with hyperphagia by acupuncture combined with Neiting point is a safe and effective method. It can significantly decrease the hyperphagia symptoms and improve the patients' life quality, adding an effective method to improve the clinical comprehensive efficacy.
