Clinical Observation On Electro-acupuncture Combined With Auricular Point For Treatment Of Simple Obesity And Research With Mri

AIM:To observe and compare with the the clinical effects of the electro-acupuncture, acupoint point sticking and pressing, and both union on the Simple Obesity. And scanning the abdomen of the patients with the MRI, analysing the situation on abdominal subcutaneous adipose area (SA) and visceral adipose area (VA). And then probe into the application value of MRI in the evaluation system of losing weight.METHODS:150patients with the Simple Obesity were selected from the Department of Rehabilitation, Wuhan central Hospital (Wuhan NO.2Hospital) and the Weight Losing Center of Acupuncture, Wuhan integrated TCM&Western Medicine Hospital (Wuhan NO.1Hospital) between September2007and September2011. All cases were randomly divided into3groups, each50cases. The experimental group were treated by electro-acupuncture combined with acupoint point sticking and pressing, the control group1was just treated by electro-acupuncture, and the control group2was just treated by the acupoint point sticking and pressing. Electro-acupuncture was treated one time every day, and the acupoint point sticking and pressing was treated one time30minutes before the three meals every day.30days were a period of course, all total with3courses. Observing the changes of the BMI, SA, VA and VA/SA, which before and after the treatments in patients of the3groups.RESULTS:The clinical researches were accomplished on133cases.①The comparison on the clinical effect, there were remarkable reduces in levels of the BMI among3groups (P<0.01,0.05), the BMI of the experimental group was decrease obviously than the other two groups (P<0.05), but there were no significant differences in BMI between the control group1and control group2(P>0.05).②The comparison on the index of MRI, there were remarkable reduces in levels of the VA, SA, and VA/SA among3groups (P<0.01,0.05), the VA and SA of the experimental group is decrease obviously than the other two groups (P<0.05), but there were no significant differences in VA and SA between the control group1and control group2(P>0.05). And after the treatments, there were no remarkable differences of the VA/SA with the3groups.③After the treatment of3courses, the total effective rate of the experimental group is higher than the other two groups (P<0.05), but there were no remarkable differences between the control group1and control group2(P>0.05). The total effective rate was86.96%in the experimental group, that77.27%in the control group1, and that76.74%in the control group2CONCLUSION:A single therapy between the two of electro-acupuncture and auricular point sticking and pressing, the BMI, VA, SA and VA/SA of the patients with simple obesity all can reduce obviously, and the VA and SA in patients with non-performing distribution were improved also, but the two methods combined, the effect will more significant. And the VA and SA will be measured accurately in MRI, conducing to objective analysis the fat in body of the obese patients, and there are important significance to evaluate the effect of losing weight and the risk of health.
