Objective:To study the application of philips 256 slice intelligent CT to disloca-tion of cricoarytenoid joint. To study the reconstruction of iCT three dimensional re-construction(3D) in order to provide assistance for clinical diagnosis and treatment.Method:This study randomly selected 16 patients with arytenoid dislocation identified by fiberoptic laryngoscopy and 10 normal persons without hoarseness as control group in August 2009~March 2011 in Second Affiliated Hospital of Kunming Medical College.16 patients and 10 normal persons were imaged with philips 256 slice intelligent CT.Two making design of our own have been used to diagnose aryte-noid dislocation on axial CT image. All data was record and used SPSS 13.5 statistical software for processing and analysis.10 patient with arytenoid dislocation examined with 3D reconstruction. Results:The asymmetric structures of larynx were showed in all patients on the Axial and 3D reconstruction images, which revealed that anterior and posterior aryte-noids dislocation were in 13 cases,3cases,respectively,left arytenoids dislocation 11 cases, right arytenoids dislocation 5 cases. Two horizonta that are not superposition, the distance of two horizontal of arytenoid was 2.71±0.63 mm.It has been found that the horizon in 13 anterior arytenoids dislocation is higher than the one of normal side.3 posterior arytenoids dislocation is lower than the one of normal side.Whereas two horizontal is superposition in 8 except 2 whose distance of two horizonta is respec-tively 0.5mm and 1mm, in 10 normal person.Significant difference was observed be-tween the study and the control groups (P<0.01).The distance of two arytenoid and midline is not equal in 16 patients. The differ-ence of distance is 3.00±1.09mm. The distance of two arytenoid and midline is equal in 8 except 2 whose difference of distance is respectively 0.5mm and 1mm, in 10 normal person. Significant difference was observed between the study and the control groups (P<0.01).High-quality sagittal and coronal reconstructive images often were helpful in confirming or clarifying the complex arytenoid orientations.Conclusion:1,The findings that the two horizontal is not coincidence of arytenoid can be used as one parameters to arytenoid dislocation.2,The distance of two arytenoid and midline is not equal which can be used as another parameters to arytenoid dislocation.3,Three-dimensional(3D) CT imaging can clearly demonstrate the features of arytenoid dislocation and may be useful in the diagnosis and evaluating the reposi-tioning of arytenoid dislocation.
