Objective:33 cases of traumatic knee joint dislocation were summarized by dislocation type, method, complication and curative effect;A preliminary comp -arison of the therapeutic effects of arthroscopy and open operation would be finished in the cases of traumatic knee joint dislocation. Methods:Between October 2005 and January 2008,42 cases of traumatic knee joint dislocation were treated in our hospital. In 42 cases, there were 9 cases as lost follow-up and 33 cases as followed up.The follow-up rate was 78.6%.Anatomical repair and(or) replacement was performed with allograft (aut-o graft) tissue.33 cases were summarized by dislocation type, method, complication and curative effect. The Lysholm score and the degree of improvement before and after operation were calculated respectively in the 33 cases. According to the standard(91~99 point was recognized as excellent,75~90 as good,50~74 as fair and less than 50 as poor),excellent and good rate was calculated. In 22 cases of traumatic knee joint dislocation, the reconstruction of the cross ligament was completed between 3 weeks and 10 weeks after inju -ry,10 cases by arthroscopy and 12 cases by open operation.A preliminary comparison of the therapeutic effects of them would be performed.Results:33 cases were followed up for 3 months to 24 months with an ave -rage of 16.8 months. The mean Lysholm score before and after operation was 40.4±5.48 and 76.7±9.05 points. The degree of improvement was 89.9%.3 cases were classified as excellent,21 as good,8 as fair and 1 as poor. The excellent and good rate was 72.7%.As to the mean Lysholm score of arthrosc -opy,before operation,3 months later,6 months later and 12 months later, was 42.5±2.8,61.2±3.1,75.3±2.2,85.4±5.5 points, the degree of improvement was 101.2%;As to the mean Lysholm score of the open operation, before operation,3 months later,6 months later and 12months later, was 41.6±4.5, 51.3±2.3,59.6±4.1 and 73.1±6.1 points, the degree of the improvement was 76.4 %.By analysis software of SPSS13.0,t-test(t0.05/2,20=2.086)was given,t=0.36 7<t0.05/2,20,P>0.05,there was no statistical significance in both of the age of the two groups;t=0.5489<t0.05/2,20,P>0.05,there was no statistical significanc -e in both of the mean Lysholm score of the two groups before operation;t= 4.921>t0.05/2,20,P<0.05,there was statistical significance in both of the mean Lys -holm score of the two groups after operation; As to 3months later,6months later and 1 year later, there was statistical significance in both of the two groups. As to the comparison of the degree of improvement,t=5.29>t0.05/2,20, P<0.05,there was statistical significance in both of the two groups. Conclusion:As to cruciate ligament reconstruction of traumatic knee joint dislocation,we found the arthroscopy was better,by compare the therapeutic effects of arthroscopy and open operation;Surgical treatment of anatomical repair and/or replacement in our patients of the knee dislocation, early and proper exercises after operation, achieved satisfactory outcomes.
