The Law Of Formulae And Syndrome Of Wumei Wan

The paper to study the features on ancient and modern clinical treatment of Wumei Wan is directed with the theory about formulae related to the diseases and syndrome.Data mining techniques such as frequencies, association analysis and two step cluster was applied to study the relationship between formulae and syndrome which contains disease and symptom.At the same time the research explores the method of formulae classification with different subset.The Subject selected Formulae Dictionary of TCM as a source of ancient literature and CNKI database as a source of modern literature.The standardization documents with 16 ancient formulaes and 206 articles which contains 354 medical records established based on Chinese Materia Medica,Synonym dictionary of Chinese medicinal materials, Clinic Terminology of Traditional Chinese Medicine(the national standard of the People's Republic of China),Differential diagnosis of TCM syndromes, Differential diagnosis of TCM symptoms,etc. The papper is divided into two parts in which the literature was analyzed with different statistics methods.First, frequencies is used to analyze the feature of formulae and syndrome from ancient to modern time. Research of this part is the core match of ancient formulae'Prunus mume, Coptis'with the onset of evodia rutaecarpa, Hordeum vulgare, medicated leaven, Cinnamomum cassia and others,the core match of modern formulae'Prunus mume, monkshood'with the onset of Cinnamomum cassia, radix paeoniae alba, liquorice, evodia rutaecarpa and others. The most proportion of original drug dosage is Prunus mume, Coptis, monkshood, cassia twig in ancient formulae and Prunus mume, ginseng, Angelica sinensis in modern literature. The main illnesses of ancient treatment contained diarrhea, dysentery, syncope due to ascariasis increase in modern time by headache, gastralgia,dizzy, metrorrhagia and metrostaxis,etc.The symptom on ancient basis were loose stool, in great pain, stomach is cold, and lack of appetite, fidgety, nausea, dry mouth and thirst increase by fatigue,thin,stomach full,dizziness, red tongue or pale tongue, white and slippery or greasy fur, stringy or thready pulse and mostly followed by syndrome of deficient cold or cold-heat complicated syndrome.The combinations of drugs by association analysis and two step cluster are 'monkshood with rhizoma zingiberis,ginseng or asarum sieboldii',and'Angelica sinensis with cassia twig,monkshood,Prunus mume with rhizoma zingiberis'and others,the symptoms of'lack of appetite,thirst''vexation,acrohypothermy''vomit, acrohypothermy''vomit, nausea, acrohypothermy''loose stool, thirst and bitter taste' 'acrohypothermy, stringy pulse, vexation'and others,the combinations of drugs and symptoms are'cassia twig and difficulty in micturition or aversion to cold','asarum sieboldii,stringy pulse''Cinnamomum cassia, rhizoma zingiberis, abdominal pain' 'Licorice, Angelica sinensis, fatigue',etc.That means the compatibility of drugs about 'warm the interior and antidysentery with astringent''warm and supplementing qi and promoting the production of body fluid''dispelling cold,astringe yin,relieve pain'and others,the syndrome of biliary fever,insufficiency of the spleen and depression of the liver generates pathogenic fire',etc.The analytic result of two step cluster is about the main subset's feature,such as the match of'cassia twig, golden cypress and Zanthoxylum bungeanum or asarum sieboldii, rhizoma zingiberis,'Zanthoxylum bungeanum, rhizoma coptidis,asarum sieboldii, liquorice'and others which means the ancient core of Wumei Wan with the method of cold combined warm or have a bias towards. The clustering considering symptom contains'red tongue, diarrhea''stringy pulse, vexation acrohypothermy and thirsty or slippery pulse'reveal the interior heat or cold syndrome with deficient or not.The result combined drug and symptom factor are'thready pulse,fatigue, cassia twig, diarrhea or Zanthoxylum bungeanum,lack of appetite. and system of formulae classification.The two parts of papper reveals the characteristic of Wumei Wan basic formulation.The cluser results by comparison reveal the experience to analyze multidimensional information of formulae.The thesis offers document database about Wumei Wan for the further development, and directed by the law of formulae and syndrome to explore the new method with the two step cluster of researching about formulae classification.
