AIDS is caused by human immunodeficiency virus (human immunodeficiency virus, HIV) infection due to acquired immunodeficiency syndrome(acquired immunodeficiency syndrome, AIDS)。Since the first case of acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) was diagnosed in 1981, the number of cases of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection has been continuously increasing around the world. The World Health Organization estimates that the AIDS epidemic was about 16,000 per day growth rate of new infections. A large number of people were die of AIDS each year. It was estimated that 90%of the HIV epidemic in developing countries,50% occur in developed countries. In the course of AIDS, ocular involvement was a common complication of HIV infection.45%to 75%of the patients eyes will be violated, the occurrence of disease, leading to varying degrees of vision loss, visual field defect, can cause severe eye blindness, serious impact on the survival of patients quality. According to the relevant data indicate that the probability of the course of AIDS patients in South America have occurrence of eye symptoms was 60%; in Europe, the occurrence of ocular opportunistic infections (especially CMVR) was 26.46%chance of; in Africa, HIV patients suffering from tumor of Conjunctiva was 75-80%.Early diagnosis and treatment was helpful in minimizing visual loss. However, Despite the fact that 95%of the world 42 million people who have HIV/AIDS live in developing countries, most medical literature on the ocular problems still focuses on problems in the developed countries. In China, HIV/AIDS was spreading throughout the whole country in a surprising rate. Therefore, understanding HIV/AIDS was a responsibility for every health care worker in China. However there was still disproportionately little research on the major ocular manifestations and complications in developing countries including China. There were few HIV/AIDS related eye studies.Purpose:1. Investigate HIV/AIDS-related illness among the incidence of eye disease and a variety of eye diseases percentage rate in Hunan2. Analysis to understand the correlation among age, sex, CD4 values and HIV/AIDS-related eye disease prevalence by statistical3. Analysis to understand the correlation among complication, CD4 values and CMVR prevalence by statistical4. Hope that through the epidemiological investigation can play a supporting reference for the later HIV/AIDS-related eye disease prevention and control of population studies Method:We will screen for eye pathology in people who suffer from HIV/AIDS in Hunan province in China, (including visual acuity, direct ophthalmoscope examination). If we find the person who have related lesions disease during the Examination, we will suggest them transfer to the higher hospital for further eye examinations and related treatment (including intraocular pressure, slit lamp, photography and FFA). And record the data analyzed statistically (logistic regression analysis).Results:1.At present we have screened about 335 HIV/AIDS patients, and 9 cases of typical patients were imaging and photographic records.2. In a variety of eye-related diseases, the most common lesions is lint plaques (50.0%)3. In the investigation of 32patients who have lint spots in the fundus findings, CD4 average of 44.9/μL, range 5-240/μL, in the investigation of patients with CMVR, CD4 average of 12.4/μL, range 5-144/μL4. According to logistic regression analysis showed that:(1) age, CD4 factors and HIV/AIDS-related eye disease groups there was significant relationship (p<0.05)(2) gender and HIV/AIDS-related eye disease groups had no significant relationship (p> 0.1) (3) age factor and the HIV/AIDS-related eye disease was a positive correlation; CD4 factors and HIV/AIDS-related eye disease was a negative correlation.(4) complication, CD4 factors and HIV/AIDS-related eye disease groups there was significant relationship (p<0.05)(5) complication factor and the HIV/AIDS-related eye disease was a positive correlation; CD4 factors and HIV/AIDS-related eye disease was a negative correlationConclusion:The ocular opportunistic was common infections in advanced AIDS, the most common were retinal micro-vascular abnormalities and retinal cotton wool spot, the most common eye infection is a condition of pathogenic microorganisms cytomegalovirus retinitis. there was significant correlation among the Age, CD4 value factors and HIV/ AIDS-related eye disease. At the same time. There was significant correlation among the complication,CD4 value factors and CMVR... |
