OBIECTIVETo assess the effectiveness of the intervention, including exercises, multifactor assessment and intervention to prevent falls in elderly through Meta-analysis;Through the implementation of management strategies to prevent falls in hospitalized patients, to improve the effectiveness of inpatient fall prevention. From the aspects of assessment, intervention, evaluation in hospital, gradually established comparatively perfect management system to preventing inpatients' falling. At the same time, applied this to the clinical nursing and discussed the effect.METHODSMedline, Cochrance Cochrane Register of Controlled Trials,CBMdisc and other related databaess and refenences were the data sources. The Meta-analysis was made to the data from the selected papers .Through the Meta-analysis of the effects of the fall prevention among people by physical exercise and multifactor assessment and intervention to discuss the feasibility and effectiveness of the fall prevention measures for the patients during the nursing practice, made scientific evaluation to these prevention measures, then established the"Inpatient Falls Risk Assessment Form","Preventive Measures Table","Fall Event Analysis Table"and"Fall Prevention Process"in the Second Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University. At the same time focus on its specialization, applied them to the patients of the clinical care unit , so that make it more effective to prevent falls .RESULTS29 papers were identified . Meta-analysis results show that exercise in the prevention of elderly falling, Risk Ratio (RR)=0.79,95% confidence interval (95%CI) (Confidence I nterval,CI ):0.72—0.87; Multifactorial assessment and intervention also play an important role in the reduction of the risk of falling ,RR=0.86,95%CI:0.78-0.94. After one and a half year of clinical research and practical observation, contrast the number of falls, fall rates before and after the implementation of management strategies .The number of falls was from 24 to 9 lower, falling rate from 1.94‰dropped to 0.63‰(P<0.05);This shows after taking preventive measures, the fallers fall down significantly with the incidence of statistical significance. And serious injury rate from 20.8% down to 11.1% .CONCLUSIONExercises and multifactorial assessment and intervention are both effective in reducing the risk of falling among older people. The use of scientific assessment, intervention, evaluation management strategies can improve the effectiveness of fall prevention of hospitalized patients. In subsequent clinical practice is still from the assessment, intervention, evaluation of overall system to constantly improve the level of preventing falls.
