Objective:4 treatments of point-pressing manipulation treating ankle injury was explored and summarized, which consequently provided the clinical basis of scientific and standardized manipulations for the treatment of ankle injury. Methods:In the present study, with the simple randomized control method, with the cases of acute ankle injury enrolled, the point-pressing manipulations were applied and the short-term therapeutic efficacy and the correlated parameters were observed. With the VAS scoring as the assessment of immediate therapeutic efficacy and the foot diseases efficacy standards as the evaluation of short-term therapeutic effects, with the simple randomized controlled methods, the clinical therapeutic efficacy of continuously 4 treatments of point-pressing manipulation treating acute ankle injury were observed, which provided the basis of scientific and standardized methods of manipulations for the clinical treatment of acute ankle injury.Results:1. There was no significant difference of the general data such as sex, age, duration, the VAS and JOA scores before the treatments, etc, between the two groups (P>0.05). The basic line before treatments of the patients between the two groups was almost the same.2. There were 30 cases in the point-pressing manipulation group. After the treatments,16 were cured,9 were obviously effective,5 were effective,0 was ineffective, with the total effective rate as 100%. In the traditional manipulation group, after the treatments,8 were cured,13 were apparently effective,9 were effective,0 was ineffective, with the total effective rate as 100%. With the statistical management, after the treatments, there was no significant difference of the general cured rates between the two groups.3. The cured rate in the treatment group was 53.3% and 26.7% in the control group. With the statistical management, there was significant difference of the cured rate between the two groups (P<0.05), indicating it was superior in the treatment group to that in the control group.4. There was significant difference of the improvement of the joint activity between the two groups (P<0.05), indicating it was better in the treatment group than that in the control group.Conclusion:1. Both the study group and the control group have the remarkable therapeutic efficacy in the treatment of acute ankle injury.2. Compared with the traditional manipulation, point-pressing manipulation was more effective and simple in the treatments of acute ankle injury, which is worthy of being further popularized in clinic.
