Identification Of Chemical Substance In Yi Mu Sheng Hua Tang

Yi mu sheng hua tang, a health presiciption for the first stage of postpartums, is produced by the Taiwan Guang Hetang Herb Biotechnology company. It is good for the puerperas to make a recovery of body shape, slight of figure, blood circulation. Yi mu sheng hua tang consists of by six medicinal herbals such as Motherwort, Angelica, the rhizome of chuanxiong, Peach kernel, Licorice root, Ginger. The prescription can be used for promoting blood circulation and reducing dysmenorrheal. Yi mu sheng hua tang is from the Chinese traditional ancient prescription Sheng hua tang. In the long time of application, The research found that Yi mu sheng hua tang have a better effect for physical recovery of puerperas, contraction of uterus. Therefore, it is widely used for physical recovery and sligh of figure on puerperas in Taiwan and Chinese mainland. In order to ensure the quality of the prescipition, The research identif icated the basic material in the Yi mu sheng hua tang, controlling the intrinsic quality of crude drugs and the product. The study found that Motherwort bought on defferent time and batch, or grew in different seasons, its health care effects are different. So. the research focused on the quality of Motherwort. Besides, the quality of the Angelica, hemlock parsley, peach kernel, ginger, licorice were controled by microscopic identification and TLC, in order to guarantee the quality of Yi mu sheng hua tang.Motherwort is a genus Labiatae Leonurus, and it is called White Motherwort in Taiwan. Motherwort is able to heal the puerperaes in puerperium, contract uterine and remove blood stasis. Some kinds of substance such as Akaloid, Diterpenoids, Iridoids, Falvones and Benzene propanol, Essential Oil is extracted from the leonurus.The stachydrine is the identifiable component to control the quality of the Motherwort. Was there any difference of stachydrine between Yi mu sheng hua tang and Motherwort? The research studied whether the Motherwort ensure the quality homogeneity in different origins and seacons of harvest. The study observed the impact of the active ingredients' determination in Motherwort with different extraction solvent, extraction time, and the extraction methods. Then the study compared the quality of crude drug in diversity origins and times of harvest. The high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) method was applied to determinate the active ingredients in Motherwort, which was collected by the 2010 edition of Chinese Pharmacopoeia(ChP). The method could effectively measure and control the quality of the product. The research of methodology showed that there was a good linearity over the rang of 0.2012-0.3622mg/mL of the concerntration of strchdrine hydrochloride. And the average recovery rate was 97.00%, RSD was 1.67%. The determination of HPLC showed a high recovery, good separation, stability and reproducibility.It could be used as a method to control the quality of Yi mu shenghua tang. Then, the quality of other crude drugs should be studied like Motherwort.According to the first part of Chinese Pharmacopoeia, The research made a study of the rhizome of chuanxiong, Peach kernel, Licorice root, Ginger separately. The layer chromatography(TLC) and microscopy were used to identify their content. In this way The study could keep a good quality of the product of Yi mu sheng hua tang.
