ObjectivesInvestigating the consistency of the evaluation in AR patient's sympt oms with VAS and PSR. Compare the result of VAS and PSR with AR patient's general symptoms score.Preliminary study the Traditional Chinese medicine Syndrome types of AR and the two scoring assessment methods of AR's nasal symptoms.Methods250 cases undergoing AR were collected from the orthopedic department of Guangdong province hospital of TCM, they were randomized divided into two Groups.VAS, and PSR were used to evaluate the severity of their typica 1 symptoms, to test its results consistency and the overall score with the patient's condition related validity results of the standard analysis o f PSR VAS and the overall condition of the patient assessment of performa nce.Use the self-made AR "Traditional Chinese medicine Syndrome Questionn aire" to detemin its Syndrome type of Traditional Chinese medicine.Result1. The results of VAS and PSR assessing the severity of local symptoms of AR has a good agreement.2. VAS and PSR scores of local symptoms in AR patients has a good correlation with its general symptoms score. VAS is better than PSR in evaluation the overall condition of AR.3. The Syndrome types of Kidney-Yang deficiency in AR more common than other Syndrome types.4. The Syndrome types of Kidney-Yang deficiency in AR is compared to longer duration of illness, comprehensive score more serious illness with other Syndrome types.5. Rhinorrhoea of the Syndrome types of Kidney-Yang deficiency in AR is more serious than other Syndrome types of AR.ConclusionVAS and PSR which used to measure the severity of local symptoms in patients showed good consistency. VAS and VAS can objectively reflect the and integrated disease patients. The Syndrome types of Kidney-Yang deficiency in AR is in the largest proportion, and with longer duration of illness, more severe illness characterized composite score.
