| ObjectiveTo evaluate the curative effect of acupuncture on migraine without aura (blood stasis) and its dominance; And to find out the better prescription by comparing the effect of the Nie-sanzhen points with the narmol points.MethodsSixty cases of migraine without aura (blood stasis) were chosen, and divided randomly into treatment group(n=30, treated with acupuncture mainly by Nie-sanzhen.) and control group (n=30, tresated with narmol acupuncture), Both of them were treated once every other day, two weeks was a course. All of them were treated for two courses and followed up after the treatment for one month. The times of attack, intensity of attack, duration, concomitant symptoms and VAS were compared between the tow groups, before and after every course of treatment. The short-term and long-term curative effect was observed. The measurement data was analyzed by t test, and the enumeration data was analyzed by chi-square test.Resultsâ‘ Acupuncture had remarkable effect on migraine without aura (blood stasis). After every course of treatment, all the index had no statistical difference(P>0.05). It showed that Nie-sanzhen resembled narmol acupuncture in short-term and long-term curative effect on migraine without aura.â‘¡The heal rate of different degrees of migraine without aura was different. Both the Nie-sanzhen and narmol points had positive effect on the mild and midrange degree of migraine without aura, and Nie-sanzhen had better effect than narmol points on severe degree of migraine without aura. â‘¢Both the two groups had low relapse rate. It indicated that acupuncture could improve the body constitution of blood stasis, except for relieving pain. ConclusionsAcupuncture has definite curative effect on migraine without aura (blood stasis). And the Nie-sanzhen had better effect than narmol points on severe degree of migraine without aura. It is valuable to study and extend the Nie-sanzhen.
