Study Background:With the economic development, improved living standards, and the improvement of nutritional status of the residents, infectious disease and the acceleration of population aging have been effectively controlled. At the same time, China's disease spectrum and the spectrum of the cause of death have undergone a qualitative change. However, chronic non-communicable diseases, primarily (chronic) mainly including high blood pressure, the crown heart disease, diabetes, cancer, have become the main factors to threat the health of the residents of our country.Chronic refers to a group of diseases such as cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, diabetes, cancer, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, mainly caused by the lifestyle and environmental risk factors. Individual lifestyles have a major impact on morbidity. Smoking, lack of physical activity and diet are not only three major risk factors, but also the preventable environmental factors. So we should pay a(?)tention to our lifestyle and environmental factors. In recent 20 years, rate of chronic diseases has been accelerated in China. The incidence was getting younger and younger. We have many studies about trends related to chronic diseases, the incidence and the analysis of risk factors, but we have no knowledge about the relationship between the intellectuals in the university and their incidence of chronic diseases and risk factors. According to the results of the health of the faculty from Shandong University Center campus, this article is going to talk about the incidence of the chronic diseases. Objective:To describe the incidence and trends of the faculty in main campus of Shandong University, Center for Chronic non-communicable diseases (hypertension, coronary heart disease, diabetes, dyslipidemia, overweight and obesity, fatty liver); to explore the influencing factors, to identify disease levels in the causes and characteristics, combined with the health of our school staff for health management, in order to delay the occurrence of disease and development of health management to improve the level of our school staff to carry out more targeted physical examination, and promote our school to teach health workers. Specific research objectives include:1. This study focuses on chronic non-communicable diseases which have a major impact on the health and quality of life, such as:hypertension, coronary heart disease, diabetes, dyslipidemia, abnormal liver function, overweight and obesity.2. Identify the trend of the epidemic, to summarize their analysis.3. Comprehensive analysis of health examination information, assessment of personal health status and disease risk, and accordingly design a personalized health improvement program to correct unhealthy lifestyles and behaviors, improve health.Research Methods:make a survey of the personal health conditions of 7335 central campus serving and retired staff in 2004,2006,2008 and 2009. Physical examination includes name, gender, age, occupation, height, weight, internal and external gynecological examination, fasting blood glucose, triglycerides, total cholesterol and other laboratory tests. Investigation includes smoking, alcohol consumption, physical exercise, salt intake, oil intake and other factors of individual behavior. It is established by Excel2003 software documentation database and the logic of double entry and verification. Data analysis with SPSS18.0 software for statistical analysis, university analysis by x2test, variance analysis and independent sample t test;multivariate analysis using Logistic regression analysis.Results:1. Main Staff Alexander prevalence of chronic diseases, hypertension 29.8%, 21.4% coronary heart disease, diabetes 8.6%,24.8% dyslipidemia (14.9% triglycerides, total cholesterol 13.1%),42.9% overweight, obesity 15.2%, 24.6%, fatty liver, in addition to the level lower than the national prevalence of diabetes (9.7%),the prevalence of other diseases were higher than the national average.2.The high incidence of early disease status, prehypertension prevalence was 40.4%, pre-diabetes prevalence was 9.9%, lipid 29.6% prevalence rate edges higher, triglycerides 12.7% prevalence rate edges higher, elevated total cholesterol edge of the 29.7% prevalence rate, in the faculty of the health education and life is the main target of intervention.3.41~50 age group with hypertension, coronary heart disease, diabetes and other major chronic diseases prevalence in other age groups, the difference was statistically significant. Increase with age, prevalence year by year.4. Analysis showed that factors of chronic diseases, obesity, age risk factors for various chronic diseases, sex, sports and a variety of chronic negative.Conclusion:1. the study population prevalence of chronic non-communicable diseases, among a variety of chronic non-communicable diseases risk factors associated with each other.2. the high prevalence of early disease, normal, high blood pressure, elevated triglycerides edge, the edge of elevated total cholesterol were higher than the national average prevalence.3. Lifestyle has a major impact on the incidence of chronic diseases. 4. Chronic non-communicable disease management focuses on controlling risk factors, acts to improve the poor living, healthy eating, weight control, monitoring high-risk groups and provides appropriate health education. Strengthen health management and improve population health.Policy recommendations:The prevention and treatment of chronic diseases should be the change of object, change of control stage and the change of the prevention means, fundamentally reducing the incidence of chronic diseases.
