A Research On The Judgment Evidences Of The Alleviated Symptomatic Units In Traditional Chinese Medicine

Objective:Extracted and summarized the judgment evidences of the alleviated symptomatic units in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM).Methods:First, based on the famous physicians'clinical records of more than once in modern history of TCM, a database has been established, supported by the Subjective Selected Subjects Program of China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences (CACMS), No.ZZ2006022. Secondly, extracted the descriptions of the alleviated symptomatic units in the database as the research data according to the rigorous principles. Thirdly, using the data management methods, extracted and summarized the evaluation standards and their alleviated changes as the judgment evidences of the alleviated symptomatic units.Results:256 symptomatic units in TCM have been summarized the alleviating judgment evidences.Conclusions:Draw two conclusions from the results. First, the alleviating and aggravating of the symptomatic units are two changes in reverse directions under one evaluation standard. The symptomatic units will be judged alleviating or aggravating, only if the evaluation standards have been judged. Secondly, two ways of the classification on the evaluation standards are presented. One way is to devide the evaluation standards into two major types, i.e., common indicator and special indicator. The other way is to devide them into nine major types, i.e., time indicator, form indicator, degree indicator, sense indicator, examination indicator, range indicator, causative factor indicator, ability indicator, and dynamic indicator.
