Objective:This study investigated the TCM syndrome distribution of cerebral infarction in recovery with spastic hemiplegia in order to offer guidance for the clinical. Methods:This study adopted clustering analysis and frequency statistics, collected the information of the 154 stroke patients who had spastic hemiplegia in recovery by the way of on-site investigation, then added up and analyzed them to get the TCM syndrome distribution of cerebral infarction in recovery with spastic hemiplegia. Results:By clustering analysis, the symptoms of 154 patients cases were divided into 4 syndrome types, including "liver and kidney deficiency, phlegm and blood stasis blocking meridian","phlegm and heat with body fluid loss, wind and phlegm disturbance","qi deficiency and blood stasis","wind, phlegm and ecchymosis block the arteries and veins". And then study on the samples by cluster analysis to analyse the proportion of the number of syndromes. According to the numbers from largest to smallest order, they were"liver and kidney deficiency, phlegm and blood stasis blocking meridian (n=68)","qi deficiency and blood stasis (n=43)","wind,phlegm and ecchymosis block the arteries and veins (n=27)","phlegm and heat with body fluid loss, wind and phlegm disturbance (n=14)". Conclusion:The Basic TCM syndromes of cerebral infarction in recovery with spastic hemiplegia were"liver and kidney deficiency, phlegm and blood stasis blocking meridian","qi deficiency and blood stasis","wind, phlegm and ecchymosis block the arteries and veins","phlegm and heat with body fluid loss, wind and phlegm disturbance". The syndromes were essentially weak and the external factors were strong. The weak factors were yin deficiency and qi deficiency. The strong factors were phlegm, heat, wind and blood stasis.
