The Value Of The PWV ABI And IMT For Coronary Heart Disease

Objective To observe the index of vascular structure and function:pulse wave velocity (PWV), ankle-brachial index (ABI), carotid artery intima-media thickness (IMT) and the severity of coronary artery stenosis of coronary atherosclerotic heart disease (CHD), correlation analysis of the above target for the screening sensitivity and specificity of coronary heart disease. (CHD).Methods Application and atherosclerosis detector and color doppler ultrasound screening and receive the collective in 132 cases suspected coronary vascular functional index (ABI,PWV), and the structural indexes (IMT), and of these cases do coronary angiography, according to the coronary angiography divided the patients into coronary arteries and normal group, abnormal group. According to the coronary angiography and abnormal group is divided into critical coronary lesions disease, single disease and multivessel disease. According to the results of inspection group and observed correlation analysis, and use for screening PWV,ABI,IMT sensitivity and specificity of coronary heart disease.Results PWV, ABI, IMT and coronary angiography were stenosis of coronary lesions compared p value of less than 0.01. Therefore considered that:Vascular structure and function indicator (PWV, ABI, IMT) and coronary artery stenosis between the correlation. At the same time concluded that:PWV sensitivity for the screening of coronary heart disease was 100%, specificity was 80%; ABI sensitivity for the screening of coronary heart disease was 7.3%, specificity was 100%; IMT sensitivity for the screening of coronary heart disease was 69.5%, specificity was 50%.Conclusion Vascular structure and function indicator (PWV, ABI, IMT) for evaluating the severity of coronary artery disease have a good clinical value; Non-invasive detection of atherosclerosis and carotid artery ultrasonography for coronary atherosclerotic heart disease screening with a an important clinical significance.
