Objective:To investigate the expression of TIPE2gene in peripheral blood mononuclear cells in patients with coronary atherosclerotic heart disease (CHD) and evaluate whether TIPE2are associated with the Gensini score of coronary artery disease.Materials and Methods:The selected subjects were divided into three groups, of which20cases of normal angiography as the control group,20cases with coronary atherosclerotic,20cases with coronary atherosclerotic heart disease. The expression of TIPE2was detected by the real-time quantitative RT-PCR. Meanwhile, Gensini Score was used to assess the severity of coronary artery disease. Then the association between the TIPE2-mRNA and the Gensini score was analyzed. Results:Compared with healthy controls (P<0.01), theTIPE2expression levels were significantly down regulated in CHD patients (P>0.01). The correlation test showed that there was a negative relation between the level of TIPE2gene and the Gensini score (r=-0.932, P<0.001).Conclusion:The expression levels of TIPE2-mRNA were decreased in PBMCs from CHD patients compared with healthy controls. The level of TIPE2gene was negatively related to Gensini score.
