Objective:Chronic cervicitis plays a very important position in the whole cervical diseases. Because of its potential risk to cancer, it has been of great concern. In normal circumstance, cervix have multiple defense functions, including mucosa immunity, humoral immunity and cell immunity, which are important lines of defense of supra-gential tract to prevent pathogenic bacterium. But cervix also suffer damage from accouchement, coition and various kinds of metra-cavea manipulation, then, simple columnar epithelium of cervical canals has very poor capability of anti-infection, which is easy to take place to be infected and to cause cervicitis.Cervical erosion is a common pathological changes of chronic cervicitis. The red zone of the cervical external orifice of the cervix and vagina which were fine granular department, called cervical erosion. This disease is most common in the female lower genital tract inflammation, often complicated with vaginitis. It is also a common disease in gyne-cological clinic. Cervical erosion is the result of various factors. Based on the gynecological examination of women with the etiological analysis of cervical erosion, we can provide the clinical guidance to prevent and treat this disease.Method:923 cases of women's gynecological examination were collected at the healthy check-up center of the Second Affiliated Hospital of Dalian Medical University on the December 2009-the March 2010 years. They were inquired for their history and were taken physical examination according to routine gynecological examination procedures. Cervical erosion in the census were classified in accordance with the common cause of cervical erosion, then the difference between all the common cause of cervical erosion and the detection rates were compared, using SPSS statistical software for data processing, andχ2 test for statistical analysis.Results:1. The prevalence of cervical erosion: 370 cases of women were diagnosed with cervical erosion in a total of 923 cases of the selected object of study, accounting for 40.09% of the total number of female subjects.Ⅰdegree of erosion has 250 cases, accounting for 67.57% of sick women,Ⅱdegree of erosion has 56 cases, accounting for 15.14% of sick women,Ⅲdegree of erosion has 64 cases, accounting for 17.30% of sick women.2. The relationship between cervical erosion and age:The detection rate of cervical erosion in women at the peak phase of the reproductive age group of 20-29 years old and 30-39 years old were significantly higher than other age groups. With age increasing, the detection rate of erosion declined. The difference of the detection rate of cervical erosion in all age groups has statistical significance.3. The relationship between cervical erosion and the frequency of abortion:The difference of the frequency of abortion and the detection rate of cervical erosion has statistical significance. With the increase of the times of abortion, the incidence of cervical erosion increases.4. The relationship between cervical erosion and delivery mode:The difference of the delivery mode of women and the detection rate of cervical erosion has statistical significance. The difference of the times of pregnancy and delivery and the detection rate of cervical erosion has statistical significance.5. The relationship between cervical erosion and vaginal cleanliness: Vaginal cleanliness and the detection rate of cervical erosion has statistical significance. The worse female vaginal cleanliness is, the higher the incidence of cervical erosion is.6. The relationship between cervical erosion and the IUD (intrauterine device):The difference of no tail wire IUD and IUD with tail wire and the detection rate of cervical erosion has statistical significance. The incidence of cervical erosion with no tail wire IUD placed for≤3 years,4-10 years, > 10 years, is no significant difference. The incidence of cervical erosion with IUD with tail wire placed for≤3 years,4-10 years,> 10 years, was also no significant difference. Conclusions:The etiology of cervical erosion is complex and diverse. Women at the peak phase of the reproductive age group have high incidence. With the increase of the times of abortion, the incidence of cervical erosion increases. And the detection rate of cervical erosion has the relation with the delivery mode, women vaginal cleanliness, IUD type and the duration of the IUD insertion. Therefore, in women's health survey, we should prevent and treat cervical erosion in the light of these factors to provide the effective clinical guidance.
