ObjectiveCentral nervous system (CNS) degenerative diseases is disease of the common people.Parkinson's disease (PD) is common of elderly neurodegeneratie diseases.State of an illness of PD progressive increase,restrict activity and influence the patient's quality of Patient's life.The lifetime of patient obviously reduced, and died of complications such as urinary tract infections and pneumonia.The incidence of PD is age-related; in developed countries, it affects approximately 1% of the population aged over 60 years and increases sharply with age after 60 years, rising to over 4% in the oldest populations. It has been estimated that the number of people aged over 60 will increase within the next 50 years, from 11% of the total populationin 2007 to 22% in 2050.。PD occurs in an idiopathic manner, whilst in the remaining 5-10% of cases, a genetic mutation is present. PD still no effective treatment measures. Since, activated microglia was found in midbrain substantia nigra density of Parkinson's disease, Scholars pay attention to immune inflammation characterized of activated microglia.Microglia are the resident immune-competent cells of the CNS and have a role in monitoring the brain for immune insults and invading pathogens, estimated that they make up approximately 10-20% of the cells in the brain.The most significant characteristic of MG is actived by the external environment,and many small changes ofthe environmental factors can make MG activate quickly. The size, morphology and cell bodies become round shape and phagocytosis increase,but the function of some antigen recognition and oral relevant membrane surface molecules (such as MHC, CR3) expressed after neurological damage. MG of shape, functions and immune activity are different and they affect immune response and degree of cytokines released level. They affect the damage of the local environment. They were activated and play the dual role of damage and protection in a variety of CNS.However,activated MG for dopaminergic neurons to nerve protect and nerve damage of dual influence has become a hotspot.To investigate the effects of activated microglial cells on injured neurons.MethodsLPS or RT was stereotaxically injected into substantia nigra(SN). the damage to the substantia nigral DA neurons and microglial cells was observed by using tyrosinehydroxylase(TH) and Iba-1 immunohistochemical staining.Results1.Activated microglial cells improve the survival of the mild injured nerve cells (A2) (P<0.05).2. Activated microglial cells reduce the survival of severe damage nerve cells (A3) (P<0.05).ConclusionLPS-activated microglial cells for injured limit nerve cells is of neurotrophic activities in our experiment set.
