| Objective:To analyze prognostic factors of postoperative patients with gastric cancer. Methods:We collected 150 cases of postoperative gastric cancer from Jan.2003 to Dec.2010 in the 2nd Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University School of Medicine, confirmed by the histopathology. The data concerning common state of patients (include age and sex), operation, tumor site, histological subtypes, depth of invasion, lymph node metastasis, and pTNM stage were enrolled in this retrospectively analyzed study. Life Table, Kaplan-Meier and Cox regression analysis were used to evaluate the prognostic significance of these factors in gastric cancer. Followed-up was done till Jan,2010 and its rate was 93.3%.Result:Among all 150 patients,140 cases were followed up with 79 died and 61 still alive, the overall survival rate for 1,3 and 5 year was 75%,52.9%,44.2%respectively. The result of univariate analysis indicated that the factors like operation type, tumor site, histological subtypes, depth of invasion, lymph node metastasis, and pTNM stage were found to be significantly associated with the prognosis, while gender and age had no relationship. The COX multivariate analysis further showed that the operation type, histological subtypes, depth of invasion, lymph node metastasis and pTNM stage were the major independent prognostic factors. Conclusion:Operation type, histological subtypes, depth of invasion, pTNM stage, and metastasis lymphnode were independent prognostic factors in patients of postoperative gastric cancer in our study. But There is no significant association among sex, age, tumor location and survival. |
