Objective:Defects in anterior teeth caused by caries, deformity and trauma are common and may result in mastication and pronunciation dysfunction, and also reduce the beauty of patient, which can cause psychological problems. Light cure composite resin is the most commonly used materials for anterior teeth. However, shaping the angle and the labial surface is difficult especially for beginners. Some dental equipment companies yield a device konwn as transparent crown matrix for anterior teeth restoration with the light cure resin composites, but usage of it has very stringent indications. The extent of its use is limited. Therefore, in this study, I designed a transparent cavity block for anterior teeth, which has elastic property and suitable for using in resin restoration. Another design is a cavity block for lingual surface restoration and can be used as a guide plate in shaping lingual surfaces. Through using two devices we can stack the labial surface on the formed lingual portion of anterior. The results we got from the study indicate that elastic partial cavity block for shaping anterior teeth missing cutting angles can be applied to more patients in dental clinic. MethodsThis experiment is divided into three parts: PartⅠ:fabrication of the designed cavity block with transparent silicon rubber1, Impression of the anterior artificial teeth with transparent silicon rubber. Impress the dental crown of maxillary central incisor with transparent silicon rubber for 4 according to the instruction book.2, Trim the cavity block:According to the schedule designed figure, trim the impression to cavity block with a scalpel and an air turbine. There are 4 different figures:a chamfered labial surface nearly in the main, one is the bulk of labial surface include the mesio-incisal angle while another is the bulk of labial surface include the disto-incisal angle. The other pair, one is the bulk of lingual surface include the disto-incisal angle and the other one is the bulk of labial surface include the mesio-incisal angle.PartⅡ:In vitro experimentTeeth in vitro experiment:Collect 12 maxillary central incisors and divide them into two groups randomly:the angle defect group and the crown fracture group, each group has six teeth and be prepared as different defect with air turbine. Then each group was randomly divided into two subsections:the experimental subsection and the control subsection. The teeth of experimental subsection were restored with the elastic cavity block, while the control group was restored by means of conventional restorative filling. Record the time spent on filling. Stained the marked teeth after the restoration experiment with tea, and then evaluated the restoration effect from the restored shape, degree of surface finish, color situation in accordance with standards established assessment rate.A Student's T test was used to analyze the difference between experimental group and control group.PartⅢ:clinical trial Selected 5 patients in hospital patients in cases of anterior defects, and restored their defect sites with light cure composite resin by means of using the partial crown shade of prepared cavity block. Observe the restoration effects. Results:The use of cavity block and palatal surfaces guide plate can make it is a simplistic operation, forming more easily, reduce repair time, and can reduce the use of turbines, And to some extent can enhance the beauty of restored properties。...
