In a word, it was easy to become a physician in Qing. Also the self-discipline had little influence on physicians in that time. Even the pursuit of money resulted in some of them give up the medical ethics.There were two ways for physicians to practise:settling down and work in the city; migrating and work from one town to another. By analysis the two novels, we can find the marketization of medicals in Qing Dynasty.People always owned their ways to fame but two roads mainly led them to success. One was by the praise among friends and relatives, which usually happened in a small area and the other was by the recommendation of gentries, which was applicable to the new comers who could not turn to their old acquaintances.
