The study of this topic was mainly on basis of dried root of Stellera chamaejasme L. Several compounds were isolated through study of its chemical constituents. Several indicators was choosed from the ingredients as the reference standards. It was investigated to control the quality of this medicinal materials effectively, find out the material basis of main drug action and establish the theory foundation of medicinal resource development.This arcticle including the literature research of radix stellerae chamaejasmis, determination of umbelliferone and daphnoretin in dried root of Stellera chamaejasme L. of 11 origin, the extraction and separation of Diterpenoid chemical composition, the correlation of preparation of self-made RP-silica gel column and RP-HPLC analysis column and so on.In literature research of radix, study several categories of chemical constituents of the role of pharmacological efficacy and general extraction, enrichment and purification method of stellerae chamaejasmis, Include flavonoids, coumarins, diterpenes and other chemical constituents.In determination of umbelliferone and daphnoretin in dried root of Stellera chamaejasme L. of 11 origin, the study established the criteria of quality control of radix stellerae chamaejasmis, for it was not consummated in the former criterion which had only morphological and histological identification, the quality standard was incomplete which no content determination presented. Using umbelliferone and daphnoretin as reference components, determination of umbelliferone and daphnoretin by RP-HPLC were conducted to 11 samples from different habitats of Stellera chamaejasme L.In chemical constituent's studies,14 chemical constituent were separated from Stellera chamaejasme L. Two flavonoids were analysed by ESI-MS,1H-NMR,13C-NMR, others,likeβ-sitosterol, umbelliferone, daphnoretin and chamaechromone were isolated were identified, which have been separated for our team 3 years ago. And another 8 Compounds there are different problems but have not yet determined the structure. Compound W-1 need further work before they can reach play spectrum requirements. W-4, W-14 in a lot of impurities found in the high performance liquid chromatography detection of peaks 3-4 using RP silica gel for further separation and purification, should be able to achieve these goals; W-2, W-5, W-7, W-8, W-12 due to be less, yet beat spectrum, the structure to be determinedIn the correlation of preparation of self-made RP-silica gel column and RP-HPLC analysis column, Mainly through the relationship of the flow of the two columns and the separation comparison of two double-dihydro flavonoid which have pharmacological activity, get relevant experience formula.There are several features of these study. First, previous studies about the coumarins chemical composition of Stellera chamaejasme herbs just about TLC but no determination.In this arcticle, we have finished the determination of umbelliferone and daphnoretin by RP-HPLC were conducted to 11 samples from different habitats of Stellera chamae jasme L. Second, use self-made RP-silica gel column to separate the chemical constituents of Stellera chamaejasme L. and study the correlation of preparation of self-made RP-silica gel column and RP-HPLC analysis column, through the relationship to direct the separate the chemical constituents of Stellera chamaejasme L. Third, in the course of the chemical constituents study, We utilization the normal phase silica gel, Sephadex, RP silica gel, etc. to separate the chemical constituents of Stellera chamaejasme L. Improve the efficiency of separation.
