The Study On Clinical Epidemiology Of TCM In NSAID-Associated Gastropathy

Background and ObjectiveMedical circle today, having consensus about take medicine of NSAIDs may tend to NSAID-associated gastropathy. In clinical more and more doctors would like to use the treatment to protect gastrointestinal tract when they use NSAIDs. The exiting research show that the ratio who takes NSAIDs lead to NSAID-associated gastropathy is 25%. To a certain extent, give all of them the treatment to protect gastrointestinal tract is waste of resource. In clinical, the effective means to prevent NSAID-associated gastropathy are expensive, which increasing the economic burden of patients. Our research to use epidemiological investigation to discuss the distribution regulation of the the type of constitution in traditional Chinese medical of this disease. We are conducted to find a method to screen out the liability one who takes medicine of NSAIDs lead to NSAID-associated gastropathy, and make the one get effective means to protect gastrointestinal tract.MethodsOn the base of literature search and remark from, choose the table of classification and determination of constitution in traditional Chinese medical, we let patients answer all the questions of the classification table, then judge the type of constitution in TCM on the base of criterion, establish data base to research the type of constitution in TCM by descriptives method and other analysis. At the base of above-mentioned, we create datatables and statistical analyze the different distribution regulation of the type of constitution in TCM between gastropathy group and general group.Result90 cases are collected divided into two groups, gastropathy group and general group. There are 45 cases in the gastropathy group, including 25 men and 20 women, the average age of 62.44±7.076 years old (ranged from 50 years old-76 years old). There are 45 cases in the general group, including 28 men and 17 women, the average age of 64.58±6.774 years old(ranged from 52 years old-75 years old)1. There were no significant differences (p>0.05) of the gender, age, the lenth of eating NSAIDs between NSAIDs group and general group.2.patients who take medicine of NSAIDs then diagnosis as NSAID-associated gastropathy, their type of constitution in TCM are constitution of QiXu, consititution of PingHe, constitution of QiYu, constitution of YangXu, constitution of ShiRe, constitution of TanShi, constitution of YinXu, constitution of XueYu. The frequency show that constitution of QiXu> consititution of PingHe>constitution of QiYu>constitution of YangXu> constitution of ShiRe>constitution of TanShi=constitution of YinXu> constitution of XueYu. The rate of patients whose type of constitution in TCM is constitution of QiXu, and their type of tendency constitution in TCM is constitution of QiYu or constitution of XueYu is 61.5%, constitution of TanShi or ShiRe is 38.5%. The rate of patients whose type of constitution in TCM is constitution of PingHe, and their type of tendency constitution in TCM is constitution of QiYu or consti--tution of XueYu is 58.3%,constitution of TanShi or ShiRe is 25%,constitution of QiXu or YangXu or YinXu is 16.7%. In this group there are 89% of patients have the type of tendency constitution in TCM, which are the constitution of QiYu(42.5%), the constitution of TanShi(17.5%),the constitution of XueYu(12.5%).3. patients who take medicine of NSAIDs then not diagnosis as NSAID--associated gastropathy, their type of constitution in TCM are constitution of PingHe, consititution of QiXu, constitution of YangXu, constitution of TanShi. The frequency show that constitution of PingHe>consititution of QiXu>constitution of TanShi>constitution of YangXu. The rate of patients whose type of constitution in TCM is constitution of PingHe, and not have type of tendency constitution in TCM is 58.3%. And their type of tendency constitution in TCM is constitution of QiXu or constitution of YangXu or constitution of YinXu is 25%,constitution of TanShi or ShiRe is 20%. The rate of patients whose type of constitution in TCM is constitution of QiXu, and not have tendency of TCM constitution type is 80%. And their type of tendency constitution in TCM is constitution of TanShi or constitution of ShiRe is 20%. In this group there are 44.4% of patients have type of tendency constitution in TCM, which are the constitution of QiXu(45%),the constitution of TanShi (35%),the constitution of YinXu(15%).4. According to analysis of the different distribution regulation of the type of constitution in TCM between gastropathy group and general group, we found that there are significant difference about their type of constitution in TCM and the type of tendency constitution in TCM. (p<0.05)。Conclusion:Our research use the classification and determination of constitution in traditional Chinese medical to study the distribution regulation of type of constitution in TCM of NSAID-associated gastropathy. We are conducted to find a method to screen out the liability one who takes medicine of NSAIDs lead to NSAID-associated gastropathy. The result shows that the type of constitution in TCM is constitution of QiXu and the type of tendency constitution in TCM is constitution of QiYu or constitution of XueYu is the liability one who takes medicine of NSAIDs lead to NSAID-associated gastropathy. The reault also shows that the type of constitution in TCM is constitution of PingHe and the type of tendency constitution in TCM is neither consititution of QiYu nor constitution of XueYu is not the liability one who takes medicine of NSAIDs lead to NSAID-associated gasropathy.
