Study On Quality Of Life Of Patients With Recurrent Vulvovaginal Candidiasis And Constitution Type In Traditional Chinese Medicine

Objective:Give evaluation for patients’s quality of life who suffered with RVVC, increase the attention degree for RVVC. Investigate the distribution character of Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) constitution for patients with recurrent vulvovaginal candidiasis(RVVC), so provide new clinical prevention and treatment methods for RVVC.Method.-Collect patient that meet the diagnostic criteria of RVVC, collected from the first affiliated hospital of GuangZhou University of TCM, the gynecology outpatient department from Oct.2010to Apr.2012. Then choose115cases that meet the research requirement (diagnostic criteria according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria). And collect115cases healthy people as contrast, let both human subjects f illout the 《SF-36Chinese version》 and the 《Survey Scale for TCM Constitution》 that developed and formulated by professor FangJiQian and professor WangQi (Beijing University of TCM) respectively. Researcher give assessment and somatoype for quality of life with constitution type of both people, according to the graded standard of SF-36and 《Form of nine kinds TCM Constitution type characteristic》,《Evaluate standard of TCM Constitution type》 formulated by professor WangQi (Beijing University of TCM). Use the American spss17.0forwindous for data statistics, measurement data displayed with mean (%) standard deviation (x±s),enumeration data displayed with percentage (%), compare for measurement data use chi-square test. P<0.05defined as the difference was statistically significant. Get the result after analysis.Results: 1.In the115cases patients of RVVC, the lowest age is21,the highest age is46, the average age is30.17. The age of onset mainly concentrate between21-30years old, of which the26-30bracket accounts for the largest proportion,49cases in all,42.61%; the46-50bracket accounts for the smal lest proportion,1cases in all,0.87%.2. In the115cases of RVVC patients, the cases with abnormal SF-36Chinese version mark are in the majority, account for81.74%. Use chi-square test for statistic analysis with the control group, the result shows P<0.05,this illustrates that there is a significant defference between RVVC patients and normal control group members in life quality.3. In the115cases of RVVC patients, the cases with total physical and mental health compare to the normal group, use chi-square test for statistic analysis, the result shows P<0.05, this suggests that there is a significant defference between RVVC patients and normal control group members in total physical and mental health. Specific to the eight dimensions, in the influencing aspect affected by somatic pain and health or emotional problem of both patients and normal control group. Use chi-square test for statistic analysis,the result shows P>0.05, this shows that there are not significant defference in influencing aspect affected by somatic pain and health or emotional problem compared with normal control group. The RVVC patients with physiological functions,reactions of physiological functions, total health subjective sensation,intrabiotic, emotional functions,spirit health subjective sensation compare to the normal control group, use chi-square test for statistic analysis,the result shows P<0.05, this suggests that there is a significant defference between RVVC patients and normal control group members in physiological functions,reactions of physiological functions, total health subjective sensation, intrabiotic, emotional functions,spirit health subjective sensation.4. After the statistic analysis using chi-square test of health changes self-assessment between RVVC patients and normal control group, the result shows P<0.05, suggests there is significant defference in health changes self-assessment aspect between the two groups.5. Yang deficiency constitution is in the majority of the115cases of RVVC patients, a total of42cases(account for36.52%), the following one is the damp-heat constitution, in all36cases(account for31.30%), combined constitutions are in the majority, in all80cases (account for69.56%), the most constitution are the ones combined Qi-deficiency with Qi-stagnation, in all38cases (account for33.04%). Moderat constitution are the most in normal control group, in all30cases(account for26.09%), followed by Qi-deficiency and Qi-stagnation constitution, both are26cases (both account for22.61%). Using the chi-square test for statistic analysis with RVVC patients and normal control group in TCM constitutional types, the result shows P<0.05, it suggests that there is significant defference in constitutional types between RVVC patients and normal control group members.Conclusion:1.The main onset age of RVVC concentrate in21-30scale, the average age is30.17years old. It suggests that RVVC occur more in reproductive period age women.2. The life quality of RVVC patients is declined.It is declined in both total physical and mental health, embodied in the following six dimensions: physilological function, reactions of physilological function, total health subjective sensation,intrabiotic, emotional function and spirit health subjective sensation, all declined. But in the influencing aspect affected by somatic pain and health or emotional problem of both patients and normal control group, it has no significant influence.3. The self-longitudinal health evaluation of RVVC patients is declined.4. Yang deficiency constitution is in the majority of the RVVC patients, the following one is the damp-heat constitution, combined constitutions are in the majority, the most constitution are the ones combined Qi-deficiency with Qi-stagnation, Moderat constitution are the most in normal control group, followed by Qi-deficiency and Qi-stagnation constitution. There is significant defference in constitutional types between RVVC patients and normal control group members.
