Clinical Observation On The Therapeutic Effect Of Warm Needling Moxibustion In Treating The Lumbar Disc Herniation Of Kidney Deficiency

ObjectiveApply warm needling moxibustion to treat LDH of kidney deficiency, observe the clinical effect of warm needling moxibustion for LDH of kidney deficiency.Methodsliterature study:study the relevant name, pathogenesis, differentiation of symptoms and signs for classification of syndrome and treatment that related to LDH in the ancient literature, do a systemic overview for the research progression about acupuncture and warm needling moxibustion in treating LDH in recent years, build a theoretical foundation for further study of clinical effect of warm needling moxibustion in treating LDH of kidney deficiency. Clinical study:equally random 60 patients that met the criteria into test group and control group, 30 patients respectively. All these two groups had basic treatment of firm bed rest, back muscle exercise, out of bed activities under protection of lumbar corset. Besides, adopt warm needling moxibustion for test group, select BL23, BL25, BL26 as the main acuponts. According to the theory of selecting acupoints along meridians, pain mainly in the Foot-Taiyang meridian, take BL40, BL57, BL60 as coordination of acupoints, mainly in the Foot-Shaoyang meridian, choose GB30, GB34, GB39, partial kidney yin deficiency take KI3, partial kidney yang deficiency take DU4. The control group select the same acupoints as the test group, apply electric needling. Evaluation with Modified Japanese Orthopedics Association (M-JOA) and visual analogue scales (VAS) Pre and post treatment.ResultsThere are statistically significant differences in M-JOA and VAS post-treatment than that of pre-treatment (p<0.05). About effect of VAS: total effect rate is 96.7% in test group, the other is 80.0%, the difference between these two groups has statistically significance (P<0.05); About clinical effect of M-JOA:total effect rate is 93.3% in test group, the other is 70.0%, the difference between these two groups has statistically significance (P<0.05).ConclusionsThese two therapies are effective in relieving pain and comprehensive clinical evaluation for LDH of kidney deficency. Both treatment can relieve pain, improve LDH patients'daily life and working ability, but the test group is better than the other in relieving pain and clinical effect.
