ObjectiveTo assess the effect of endovascular treatment on intracranial aneurysm.MethodsUnder local anesthesia, a micro2catheter was navigated into the aneurysm.through a guide catheter. Then, the aneurysmswere embolized with coilwhich was introduced by the micro2catheter.Five wide2neck aneurysmswere embolized with the stent and the coil. Three wide2nick aneurysms were embolized, duringand after embolization. Patients were followed for 3 to 18 months.ResultsEighty of 86aneurysms in 84 cases were embolized.100%occlusion was achieved in 70 aneurysms (83.3%),90%in 9(10.7%),80%in 3 (3.6%). Two cases failed to be embolized (2.4%). Two coinciden2tal unrup tured aneurysm was not embolized. Eight cases using stent or remodeling technique were well recovered. Re2 bleeding occurred in two cases after treatment. Four of the five cases p resented with oculomotorparalysiswere com2p letely recovered, another case was imp roved.ConclusionEmbolization of intracranial aneurysms with coil issafe, effective and reliable.
