Objective:To explore the Diagnosis and treatment of panreatic cystadenoma and cystadenocarcinoma. Focusing on preoperative diagnostic accuracy and long-term outcome.Method:Clinical presentation, radiologic evaluation, and surgical procedures were analyzed at 27 patients with panreactic cystic tumor who had been diagnosed at second affiliated hospital Zhejiang University college of Medicine,from 1995 Jan to 2005 Jun.Result:Of the 27 paitents,6 were diagnosed as Serous cystadenomas (SCA); 10 were Mucinous cystadenomas(MCA);ll were Mucinous cystadenocarcinoma(MCC). Abdominal pain (17 paitents) were the main symptom. Computed tomography(CT), ultrasonography(US), magnetic resonance imaging(MRI) and endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography(ERCP) were the main examinations for the diagnosis.6 were misdiagnosed as pseudocyst.26 patients had underwent surgical treatment,and 23 were successfully resected.No recurrence for patients with cystadenoma after surgery. For the patients with resected cystadenocarcinoma,4 out of 7 were alive 5 years after surgery.conclusion:Pancreatic cystadenoma and cystadenocarcinoma is uncommon and easily to been misdiagnosed. Clinic symptom is non-specific and abdominal pain is the main symptom.In order to promote the diagnosis,surgeon muse be familiar with the clinic feature and the pathologic appearance of panreatic cystadenoma and cystadenocarcinoma. Surgical resection is the main way, perhaps the only way, for treatment. The prognosis of the patients with cystadenoma and resected cystadencarcinoma is favourable.
