Spontaneous abortion is defined as the pregnancy loss before 28 weeks gestation and birth weight less than 1000g by natural factors. It is generally accepted that 10% to 15% of all clinically documented pregnancies in spontaneous abortion, and more than 80% of them are early abortion. The etiological factors are very complicated and diverse, such as chromosomal abnormalities, infections, immunological factors, endocrine disorders, smoking and drinking, and so on. In some cases, cause could not be identified up to now. Objective:To analyze the following things of the screened 113 patients: age, education, smoking or drinking, karyotype, UU, CT, auto-antibodies, virus-antibodies and progesterone level. To analyze the related causes of spontaneous abortion.Data and method:There were 113 female patients with spontaneous abortion were screened in more than 600 female patients who visited the gynecology of the first hospital of Jilin University or others and had tests in reproductive research center of Jilin University during April 2008 to October 2009. The clinical feature of screening was that all pregnancies terminated by spontaneous abortion. The minimum age of screened patients is 20 years old, maximum is 40 years old, and mean age is (30.27±5.02) years old. To analyze the patients'age, education, smoking or drinking, karyotype, UU, CT, AsAb, AoAb, EmAb, ACA, HCGAb, toxoplasma antibody, CMV antibody, Rubella virus antibody, herpes simplex virus antibody and progesterone level.Result:1. In this study 13 cases with primary education (11.51%), 31 cases with secondary education(27.43%), and 69 cases with university or above education(61.06%). They were divided into four groups by 5 years. The constitutes of different educations in different age groups has no significant difference. The different educations(primary vs secondary education, primary vs university or above, secondary vs university or above) in different age groups had been compared, and there was no significant difference among them(P>0.05). 2.The proportions of different risk factors were: chromosomal abnormalities were identified in 2.65%, infections were found in 32.75%, immunological factors were detected in 24.78%, low progesterone levels were accounted for 5.31%, smoking or drinking were seeked in 3.54%, both infections and immunological factors were looked for 1.77%, unknown causes were identified in 29.20%.3.This study had 3 cases of chromosomal abnormalities, abnormal rate was 2.65%,had 2 cases of inversion and 1 case of translocation. 4. This study had 37 cases of infections, and the positive rate was 32.75%. UU positive had been found in 23 cases (20.35%), and was the first factor in infections. There were CT positive, both UU and CT positive, toxoplasma antibody positive, CMV antibody positive, both UU and toxoplasma antibody positive, both toxoplasma antibody and CMV antibody positive. In this study, there were 41 patients had one time of abortions, among whom there were 5 patients with UU positive (12.2%). There were 40 patients had two times of abortions, among whom there were 6 patients with UU positive(15.00%). There were 32 patients had there or more times of abortions, among whom there were 12 patients with UU positive (37.50%). The number of abortions'times was higher, the rate of UU positive was higher. Three or more times compared with one time, there had significant difference (P<0.05). Two times compared with one time, there had no significant difference (P>0.05). 5. This study had 28 cases of immunological factors, and the positive rate was 24.78%. ACA positive had been found in 14 cases (12.39%), and was the first factor in immunological factors. There were AsAb positive, EmAb positive, HCGAb positive, AoAb positive, both ACA and EmAb positive, all ACA EmAb and AsAb positive. In this study, there were 41 patients had one time of abortions, among whom there were 4 patients with ACA positive (7.32%). There were 40 patients had two times of abortions, among whom there were 4 patients with UU positive (10.00%). There were 32 patients had there or more times of abortions, among whom there were 7 patients with UU positive (21.88%). The number of abortions'times was higher, the rate of ACA positive was higher. But there had no significant difference among three groups (P>0.05). 6. This study had 6 cases of low progesterone levels, and positive rate was 5.31%. This study had 4 cases of smoking or drinking, and positive rate was 3.54%. This study had 2 cases who both had infections and immunological factors, and positive rate was 1.77%. 7. This study had 33 cases with unknown factors (29.20%).Conclusion:1. The constitutes of female spontaneous abortion's patients with different educations were same mostly. Seemingly there had no parallel relationship between spontaneous abortion and education. 2.Seemingly there had no parallel relationship between rates of ACA positive and times of spontaneous abortions. The number of abortions'times was higher, the rate of UU positive was higher, and seemingly there had parallel relationship between them. The following things can also cause spontaneous abortion: infections with many kinds of pathogens, immunological factors with many kinds of antibodies, both infections and immunological factors at the same time .3.Causes of spontaneous abortion include chromosomal abnormalities, infections, immunological factors, low progesterone level, smoking or drinking, and so on. But about 30% cases had unknown causes up to now.
