The Relationship Between Serum Levels Of Cystatin C And Coronary Atherosclerosis

Objective:To investigate the relationship between serum levels of Cystatin C and coronary atherosclerosis severity,according to the serum Cystatin C concentration of coronary heart disease group and control group which divided by coronary angiography.Methods:Randomly selected CHD(Coronary Atherosclerotic heart disease,C HD) group 60 patients confirmed by coronary angiography(CAG) and normal group 20 cases,except hepatorenal insufficiency and cardiac functionⅢabove etc.factors..According to coronary lesions count we divide CHD group into 3 groups:Single vessel lesion group,double vessel lesions group and three lesi on group.Simultaneously to calculate the sum of integrals according to Gensin i Integral.Selected patients will be recorded its general data,blood pressure,li ver function,renal function,cardiac function and CAG results.All subjects ado pt ELISA(Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay,ELISA) to evaluate serum cyst atin C(Cys C) concentrations,all data processed by SPSS11.5 package statistic ally.Results:①The serum levels of Cystatin C of CHD group is 0.62±0.14 ng/ml, the serum levels of Cystatin C of normal control group is 1.29±0.49 ng/ml,the levels of Cystatin C of CHD group is lower than the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(p＜0.05).②All patients are divided into four groups according to coronary lesions count:normal control group(20 cases),the serum level of Cystatin C is 1.07±0.28 ng/ml,Single vessel lesion group(23 cases),the serum level of Cystatin C is 0.74±0.20 ng/ml,double vessel lesions group(17 cases) and the serum Cystatin C level is 0.49±0.20 ng/ml,three lesions group(20 cases),it's serum Cystatin level is 0.22±0.19ng/ml.F value is 34.553,p＜0.05,the differences between each group are statistically significant.The serum level of Cystatin C of three lesion group is obviously lower than normal controls.The Gensini integral of each group is: normal control group 0.88±0.81,single lesion group 8.52±6.56,double lesions group 17.24±9.42,three lesions group 35.56±14.48,F value is 38.562,p＜0.05,the differences between the groups are statistically significant,three lesions group's Gensini integral is obviously higher than integral of single lesion and normal controls.③The correlation analysis of serum level of Cystatin C and coronary lesions count, r_s=-0.835,p＜0.05,has the remarkable statistical significance,Cystatin C and coronary lesions count has a significant negative correlation.④Examining the correlation of Cystatin C and Gensini integral with Pearson correlation analysis,the result is r=-0.785,p＜0.05.The differences are statistically significant,Cystatin C and Gensini integral also shows a significant negative correlation.Conclusion:It is observed that serum Cystatin C concentrations is clos ely relevant with coronary heart disease,and it reflects the extent of coronary atherosclerosis.Coronary heart disease patients' level of serum Cystatin C is lo wer than non-CHD patients,and the more serious coronary artery lesions,the l ower serum Cystatin C concentrations.Therefore,serum Cystatin C can be use d as a nontraumatic indicators at a certain extent to guide clinical diagnosis an d evaluate the coronary heart disease.
