Purpose:129patients with coronary angiography examination, then observing serumlevels of cystatin C (CysC) to discuss its relevance to the degree of coronary arterylesions.Method:129patients with Coronary atherosclerotic heart disease(CHD) are diagnosedby coronary angiography in shenyang Fourth People’s Hospital of cardiology fromMarch2012to September2012. Aged from50to70years old, blood pressure between110-160/80-100mmHg, cardiac function is normal, the patients’ gender and ethnic areunlimited. Exclusion criteria: a history of renal insufficiency or kidney disease, heartfunction NYHA class II~IV, SBP≥160mmHg, DBP>100mmHg, a history ofaneurysms, all acute or chronic infections, diabetes, autoimmune disease, metabolicdisease, severe chronic diseases(such as advanced liver cirrhosis, tumor) and the user ofhormone.99patients with CHD are research group and30patients as control group.According to the coronary artery lesion counts, CHD group can be divided into3groups:single lesion group, the double branch lesion group and three branch lesion group.Record their general situation: age, sex, blood pressure, creatinine, urea nitrogen, bloodfat and BMI and coronary angiography results. All patients are hollow pumping elbowvenous blood5ml next morning after hospitalization and using enzyme-linkedimmunoassay (ELISA) to determine the concentration of serum CysC. First of all, tocompare CysC level of CHD group and control group, then comparing serum CysClevel in CHD groups. SPSS18.0is used to process the dates. P<0.05is statisticallysignificant.Result: First, Each group of age, gender composition, blood pressure, serumcreatinine and urea nitrogen, blood lipid level, BMI, smoking or not had no significantdifference (P>0.05). Second, The average serum CysC level of99patients with CHD group was0.76±0.23ng/ml, the average serum CysC level of patients in control group was0.22±0.09ng/ml, the average serum CysC level of coronary heart disease group washigher than the normal control group, the difference was statistically significant (p <0.05).Third, Serum CysC level and the degree of the coronary artery lesions correlationresults are followed. single lesion group included35patients and the average serumCysC level was0.47±0.12ng/ml; Double branch lesion group included33patients andthe average serum CysC level was0.74±0.20ng/ml; Three lesions group included31patients and the average serum CysC level was1.07±0.28ng/ml. CysC values of thecomparison results between groups were statistically significant (P <0.05). Serum CysCand was significantly positively associated with the degree of coronary artery lesions. Conclusion: Serum CysC level is associated with coronary heart disease and coronaryartery lesion severity. With the degree of coronary artery lesions, elevated levels ofCysC. Serum CysC to a certain extent, can be used as a non traumatic indexes toevaluate and predict coronary lesions and its severity.
