Study On Fingerprints Of Cortex Illicii Lanceolati And Honghuixiang Injection

Objective Cortex Illicii Lanceolati is one kind of traditional Chinese materia midica which commonly used in South China, which is the dried root bark or branch bark of Illicium lanceolatum A.C.smith. Honghuixinag Injection is made from Cortex Illicii Lanceolati, it is the exclusive production of Zhejiang Taikang Pharmaceutical Co.LTD. The primary objective of this work was to develop the fingerprint of Cortex Illicii Lanceolati and Honghuixinag Injection. Methods In our study, we had collected samples, refered to books and consulted experts, then decided the origin of Cortex Illicii Lanceolati. To study the main chemical constituents in alcohol extraction by column chromatography. Base on chemical study, we comprehensively studied on fingerprints of Cortex Illicii Lanceolati and Honghuixinag Injection by HPLC. We identify the flavonoids of Cortex Illicii Lanceolati and Honghuixinag Injection. We had studied on the best kind and concentration of the extraction solution, the methods of extraction, and the suitable kind , ratio and flow rate of mobilephase. We had also tested all kinds of HPLC column, selected the best one, and the suitable column temperature. The similarity of all samples were determined by the "Similarity evaluation system for chromatographic fingerprint of TCM"(version 2004), which was promulgated by Chinese Pharmacopoeia Commission.Results Alcohol extraction mainly contain flavonoids , among which the content of Quercitrin is most, more than 5%, Protocatechuic Acid and Quercetin are also detected. To stuty and establish the fingerprints of Cortex Illicii Lanceolati andHonghuixinag Injection, and the limitations of similarity of Cortex Illicii Lanceolatiand Honghuixinag Injection are 0.90 and 0.85.Conclusion The fingerprints of Cortex Illicii Lanceolati and HonghuixinagInjection can fully reflect the inner quality of Cortex Illicii Lanceolati andHonghuixinag Injection, and provide a method to fully control qualities of CortexIllicii Lanceolati and Honghuixinag Injection.
