Conflict In The Current Physician-patient Relationship And Reform And Innovation In Medical Ethics Education

In recent years, medical authorities and medical institutions have carried out active exploration and reform in order to build harmonious relationship between doctors and patients. Despite this, the poor physician-patient relationship, the mutual lack of trust and an increase in medical disputes is still a prominent problem now. The importance and urgency of buliding a harmonious physician-patient relationship should be realized. Building trustful and harmonious physician-patient relationship is of mutual benefit to both doctors and patients and the most effective prevention mechanism to reduce medical disputes and litigation. In a sense, the poor medical ethics is a failure in ideological and moral education of the medical students. The key to enhancing the overall quality of health care workers and improving the medical ethics is to do a good job in the ideological and moral education of the medical college students, the core of which is medical ethics education. Starting with the current situation of the physician-patient realationship in our country, this paper analyzes the cause of medical disputes, and reflects on the problems in medical education from the needs of clinical medicine. It is thought that the education and cultivation of medical students' law concept, humanistic qualities, medical double-base ability and clinical thinking ability should be strengthened and the behaviours of clinical practice teachers in medical treatment should be improved. The professional ethics education, education and the ideological and political education of medical students should be integrated into their medical ethics education and thus a new way of ideological and ethics education of medical students can be sought out.The paper is composed of three chaptersChapter One: An analysis of the current situation of the conflict in physician-patient relationshipStarting with the implications and basic types of the physician-patient relationship, the ethics rules of the relationship is introduced. Beginning with the current situation of the poor physician-patient relationship, the major factors affecting the relationship is analysed. Then, the signifigance of the medical ethics and moral education of medical students and of improving the conflict is dealt with.Chapter Two: An analysis of the current situation of the medical ethics of medical studentsThe problems of the current medical ethics education is discussed in the aspects of the major ways of medical ethics education in medical higher institutions, education concept, influences of the social environment, the process of the ideological and political education, and the curriculum design as well as clinical practice.Chapter Three: Reform and Innovation in the medical ethics education of medical studentsBased on the analysis of the current situation and the existing problems in medical ethics, new and effective opinions and ways of medical ethics education are probed into. Effective reform and attempt are carried out and made in integrating the medical ethics education into the core concept of medical education, in integrating the medical ethics education into the ideological and political education courses taken by medical students and specialization education ,in strengthening the medical ethics education in clinical practice and in creating good campus atmosphere and campus culture. Finally, the conclusion that the medical ethics education of medical students is the fundamental to settle the conflict in physician-patient relationship is reached.
