Clinical Research Of Electro-acupuncture And Laser On Simple Obesity

Objective: To explore the therapeutic effect of electro-acupuncture and laser on simple obesity and find out the better treatment program on simple obesity with electro-acupuncture and laser.Methods: sixty simple obesity patients were randomly divided into two groups: electro-acupuncture group, electro-acupuncture and laser group. After treatment, obesity index (waistline, hip circumference, thigh circumference, body mass, body mass index, percentage of body fat and fat content of internal organs), symptom and sign of pretherapy and post-treatment were observed. SPSS 13.0 software was performed in the statistical analysis.Result: After treatment, the body mass, waistline, hip circumference, thigh circumference, BMI, FAT and VFA were all descended (p<0.01) .The total effective rate of electro-acupuncture group, electro-acupuncture and laser group were 82.76%, 93.33% respectively. These prompted that electro-acupuncture, electro-acupuncture and laser were both the effective treatments on simple obesity. With independent-samples T test, there was statistical significance between electro-acupuncture group and electro-acupuncture with laser group on FAT(p<0.05). There was remarkably statistical significance between the two group on waistline, BMI and VFA (p<0.01). There was no statistical significance between the two group on body mass, hip circumference and thigh circumference. All these indicated that electro-acupuncture and laser was better than electro-acupuncture on degrading the obesity index.Conclusion: Electro-acupuncture, electro-acupuncture and laser are both the effective treatments on simple obesity. Electro-acupuncture and laser is better than electro-acupuncture on degrading waistline, FAT, BMI and VFA. The total effective rate of electro-acupuncture and laser group is better than this of electro-acupuncture group. Electro-acupuncture and laser is better than electro-acupuncture on improving the patients' clinical symptom. Electro-acupuncture and laser has good therapeutic effect on reducing weight, preventing complication and promoting health. Rational diet, exercise and selecting suitable treatment can raise the therapeutic effect on reducing weight.
