Objective: (1) To explore the relationship of Blood stasis phlegm permits ZHENG and serum high-sensitive C-reactive protein (hsCRP) and endogenous secretory RAGE (esRAGE). (2)To explore the relationship of esRAGE and inflammation, metabolic syndrome. Methods: 62 cases of metabolic syndrome is divided into blood stasis Phlegm permit type of 40 cases and non blood stasis Phlegm permit type of 20 cases. Another group of 25 cases as the control group, who is true type 2 diabetes mellitus and do not meet any one of the IDF metabolic syndrome criteria. Take of the clinical and biochemical index, of hsCRP and esRAGE of each cases. SAS 8.0 was used for statistic. Results: (1) Study the types of TCM syndrome in MS group; it can be found that the hs-CRP level in the Group of blood stasis Phlegm permit is higher than the other group deficiency (1.526 vs 0.819, P<0.05) .There is no difference in the esRAGE level (P>0.05) . (2) Serum hs-CRP level in MS group is higher than in type 2 diabetes group (1.25 vs 0.489, P<0.01) and esRAGE level is lower than the other group (820.09 vs 997.15, P<0.05) . (3) Correlation analysis found that the hs-CRP level was negatively correlated with esRAGE (r= - 0.2233, P<0.05) .Conclusion: (1) In MS group, the hs-CRP level is higher in group of blood stasis Phlegm permit than the other. While esRAGE has no difference between the two. It is thought that blood stasis Phlegm permit maybe correlate with inflammation. (2) hs-CRP levels in MS group is significantly increased, the metabolic disorders maybe can make inflammatory status become worse. (3)The esRAGE level is lower in the group of MS than in the group of T2DM,while hs-CRP levels is negatively correlated with esRAGE. And maybe esRAGE can alleviate inflammation and is a protective factor of metabolic syndrome.
