Effects Of Electro-Acupuncturing Acupoint RenZhong On Neuronal Apoptosis And Expressions Of Related Genes In Rat Models Of Middle Cerebral Artery Occlusion(MCAO)

Objective:To investigate the effects by electro-acupuncturing(EA) DU meridian's RenZhong on neuronal apoptosis and Bcl-2,Bax genes in MCAO rats and further to explore the integrated mechanisams on encephalopathy therapy of EA in acupoint RenZhong point at molecul and gene levels.Methods:Focal permanent ischemic models of middle cerebral artery occlusion (MCAO) were established according to Longa's methods.To observing eares of cerebral infarction by TTC staining.Expressions of apoptosis,Bcl-2 and Bax genes were detected by immunohisto chemistry staining technique.Results:After EA in acupoint RenZhong,the neural symptoms of MCAO rats were relieved,the eares of cerebral infarction were smaller.Camparing to ZhaoHai and modle control groups,there were effects of down-regulating expressions of apoptosis and Bax were inhibited,Bcl-2 and Bcl-2/Bax ratio were enhanced and up-regulating,the differences were very significant(P＜0.05 or P＜0.01). Conclusion:Electroacupuncture in acupoint RenZhong can remarkably inhibite apoptosis and expression of Bax gene,improve expression of Bcl-2 gene and simultaneously up-regulate Bcl-2/Bax ratio.DU meridians' RenZhong is directly linked to brain and is known a very important acupoint on emergency treatmen about encephalopathy.Maybe with the result of up- regulating Bcl-s/Bax ratio, inhibiting neuroal apoptosis is the one of mechanisms on protection effects of brain when EA in acupoint RenZhong.
