Clinical Observation Of Acupuncture At Renzhong Point In Treating Insomnia Of Stagnation Of Liver Fire

Objective: To observe the clinical effect of Renzhong acupoint combined with routine acupuncture therapy on insomnia caused by stagnation of liver and transformation of fire.Method:Sixty-six patients with insomnia due to stagnation of liver and transformation of fire were randomly divided into treatment group(Renzhong acupoint combined with conventional acupuncture group)and control group(conventional acupuncture group).Both groups were treated with acupuncture once a day for 5 days as a course of treatment,with an interval of rest for 1 day.After two consecutive courses of treatment,PSQI,FS-14 and HAMA were used to evaluate the therapeutic effect and observe the difference.Result: Finally,58 patients entered the statistical stage.After treatment,the scores of PSQI,FS-14 and HAMA in both groups were lower than those before treatment.The total scores of PSQI,FS-14 and HAMA in the treatment group were higher than those in the control group(P < 0.05).The total effective rate of the treatment group was 90%(27/30),which was better than that of the control group 82.14%(25/28).Conclusion: Acupuncture Renzhong combined with conventional acupuncture therapy can improve sleep,daytime dysfunction and anxiety of insomnia patients,and is superior to the control group.
