ObjiectiveTo compare differences in posterior chamber intraocular lens (PC-IOL) decentration, tilt and anterior chamber depth(ACD),accurately to locate the haptics, and to oberserve the relationships of haptics on uveal tissues,to evaluate the stability using ultrasonic biomicroscope (UBM) in eyes having phacoemulsification with implantation of of 2 types PC-IOL.MethodsThis study comprised 44patients(45 eyes) having phacoemulsification and PC-IOL implantation in the bags. The eyes were randomized into 2 groups on PC-IOL type. The degree of PC-IOL decentration, tilt and ACD were measured by UBM,and the pressure was measured lweek,1 months after surgery, while locating the haptics and oberserving the relationships of haptics on uveal tissueResoults1.There was no significant change during the 1 month follow-up period in decentration or tilt in each group(P>0.05).There was no significant difference among the groups in IOL decentration or tilt at any time point(P>0.05).2.There was no significant change during the 1 month follow-up period in ACD in each group(P>0.05).There was significant difference among the groups in ACD at 1 week,1 month after surgery(P<0.05).3.The intraocular pressure(IOP)of one eye was over 21mmHg at 1 week after surgery, and the haptics were located in the bag; While The intraocular pressure(IOP)of one eye in each group had exceeded 21mmHg at 1 week after surgery, one haptic was in ciliary sulcus and the other was in capsule.4.Residual cortex was observed in 1 eye(2%) at 1 week after surgery, and there was no obvious chang at 1 month.Conclusion1:The IOL stability of the 1-piece IOL in eyes was better than the 3-piece IOL2.UBM can locate the haptics and oberseve the relationships of haptics on uveal tissues better...
