Objective:To describe the prevalence of sub-health of medical staff, and explore it's influecing factors,to provide evidence for developping prevention and control measures of sub-health in medical staff. Methods:A cross-sectional study was used, according to different levels of hospitals, used cluster sampling to select 15 First-level hospitals,10 Secondary-level hospitals and 7 Third-level hospitals in Changsha City, Zhuzhou City,Shaoyang City,Hengyang City,Jinshi City and Xiangxiang City.Selected the medical staff on-the-job in every section of the 32 hospitals, excluding these whose worktime in the section was less than 6 months as objects of the study,Their sub-health status was investigated by questionaire, the contents of the questionaire included 5 aspects and 28 items. The data were analyzed by SPSS 13.0,Chi-square test was used for univariate analysis,one-level logistic regression analysis and two-level logistic regression analysis in Mlwin 2.02 were used for multivariate analysis. Results:The prevalence of sub-health of medical staff was 40.4%. The prevalence of sub-health of medical staff in First-level-hospital was lower than Secondary-level-hospital and Third-level-hospital.The maximum prevalence of sub-health was detected in nurses(43.6%),and the minimum prevalence of sub-health was detected in Medical technicians(34.5%).Multilevel model analysis showed:sex((?)=1.824, 95%CI:1.471-2.386),the age of 30-40((?)=1.874,95%CI: 1.213-2.598),the age of 40-50((?)=1.559,95%CI: 1.082-2.37),overtime((?)=1.761,95%CI:1.333-2.326),pressure of medical dispute((?)=2.036,95%CI:1.639-2.538),cautious to patients ((?)=1.264,95%CI:1.015-1.572),cautious to colleague((?)=1.581, 95%CI:1.236-2.021),irregular diet((?)=1.599,95%CI:1.259-2.058), not-enough sleep((?)=22.021,95%CI:16.667-29.412),lacking exercise((?)=1.340,95%CI:1.008-1.782),high rate of bed usage in section((?)= 1.368,95%CI:1.078-1.734 ) were risk factors of sub-health in medical staff, and active way to pressure(OR=0.651,95%CI: 0.517-0.763),family activity((?)=0.605,95%CI:0.480-0.761),sustain from family((?)=0.717,95%CI:0.581-0.856) were protective factors. Conclusion:The prevalence of sub-health of medical staff was 40.4%.The prevalences of sub-health of medical staff in hospitals of different levels and different sections were different.Women, age, more overtime, more pressure of medical dispute, cautious to patients, cautious to colleagues, irregular diet,not-enough sleep, lacking exercise, high rate of bed usage in section can increase the prevalence of sub-health of medical staff, but active way to pressure, more family activity, more sustain from family can improve the sub-health status of medical staff.
