Study On Heal-promoting Action And Mechanism Of Chinese Materia Medica Burn Dressing On Infectious Deep Partial Burn Wound In Rabbits

Objective: To study the heal-promoting action of Chinese materia medica burn dressing on infectious deep partial burn wound in rabbits, and analyze the possible mechanism.Methods: A model of deep partial thickness burn wound on the two sides back of every rabbit was used in this experiment. The model rabbits were infected separately with staphylococcus aureus, bacillus pyocyaneus and escherichia coli. The tow sides burn wound were cured separately by Chinese materia medica burn dressing and An Xin Nano-silver dressing. Then compared their infected condition, healing condition, healing time and the cure race of the traumatic wound respectively. The level of TNF-α, IL-1, IL-8.Results: There were much effusion of the wound in every infection control group, the swelling and inflammatory reaction could be observed easily. But cured by Chinese materia medica burn dressing and An Xin Nano-silver dressing, the swelling, inflammatory reaction and the effusion of the wound was reduced much, and the detection rate of bacterium in every burn wound every time was significantly low(P<0.01). After cured by Chinese materia medica burn dressing and An Xin Nano-silver dressing, at the 12th, 15th, 18th, 21thday, the wound healing rate was significantly higher than that in the control group(P<0.05), the time for wound healing was significantly shorter than that in control group (P<0.05). The average healing time in Chinese materia medica burn dressing group was 21.5±1.3days, but the average healing time in An Xin Nano-silver dressing group was 25.5±1.8days, Compared with each other, the difference was significance(P<0.05). After wounded, the level of TNF-α, IL-1, IL-8 in the wound tissues obviously increased, while after cured with Chinese materia medica burn dressing and An Xin Nano-silver dressing, the level of TNF-α, IL-1, IL-8 in the wound tissues obviously reduced in every time(P<0.05), and there were no difference between Chinese materia medica burn dressing group and An Xin Nano-silver dressing group (P>0.05).Conclusions:1.Like the An Xin Nano-silver dressing, Chinese materia medica burn dressing obviously possess the action of anti-inflammatory, anti-infection and heal-promoting. And it is better in heal-promoting action than the An Xin Nano-silver dressing.2. The possible mechanism of heal-promoting action of Chinese materia medica burn dressing relate to decrease the composition and liberation of TNF-α, IL-1, IL-8.
