Objective: To explore the clinical efficacy and value of Kudiezi injection united with Acupuncture and Massage for treatment of cervical spondylosis of vertebral artery type (CSA).Methods: 60 cases were all from the Chinese Medicine Hospital of Jiangsu Province. The eligible subjects were randomly divided into the electroacupuncture group, electroacupuncture combined with massage group, combined therapy group, 20 cases in each group. They were treated with simple electroacupuncture, electroacupuncture combined with massage therapy and Kudiezi injection united with acupuncture-massage therapy, respectively. After 2 courses of the treatment (10 days for each course), the clinical efficacy and the score for symptoms and physical signs were collected for statistical analysis.Results: The general date were no different among the 3 groups; the cured-markedly effective rate and the effective rate were 20% and 65% in the electroacupuncture group, 50% and 85% in the electroacupuncture combined with massage group, 85% and 95% in the combined therapy group, respectively, the combined therapy group being better than the other two groups(P<0.05); after treatment, the total cumulative score for symptoms and physical signs in the 3 groups decreased significantly(all P<0.01), the combined therapy group to reduce the degree of integration than the other two groups(P<0.01 or P<0.05); and the symptoms and physical signs in the 3 groups improved significantly(P<0.01 or P<0.05), group comparison, the combined therapy group improved better than the other two groups(P<0.01 or P<0.05); and no adverse effects were found in the 3 groups.Conclusion: The test adopted by Kudiezi injection united with acupuncture-massage therapy, had a exact, safe and reassuring efficacy; and it was of superiority as compared with the simply electroacupuncture or the electroacupuncture combined with massage therapy.
