With the increasingly competitive in the health care market, the acceleration of market-oriented medical services, the trends in the reform of public hospitals, and the requirements of public health services, and the development of hospitals faces new opportunities and challenges. Hospital managers have a more and more profound understanding of that modern hospital management must manage the hospital as an open system in the dynamic environment, and that it must cut across internal management functions of the hospital and the hospital boundary. The strategy, based on the external environment of scientific, objective and detailed study of the situation with the hospitals and the actual situation in the market is the key of whether the hospital can survive and develop for long. Traditional Chinese medicine hospital in Huangpu District raised a strategic goal that it will be made into a Well-known Traditional Chinese medicine hospital in next three years. How to formulate the development of practical strategies and how to effectively implement and improve the competitiveness of services to grasp the opportunities and avoid risks, and to ensure that hospital competition is relatively well-placed to achieve strategic objectives. In this paper, it will study and discuss in the following several chapters.In Chapter 1, it will introduce the background of this paper, research the application status of the hospital strategy management, and the purpose and ideas of this paper. In Chapter 2, it will introduce the Overview of Traditional Chinese medicine hospital in Huangpu District, and analyze the problems in the hospital. In Chapter 3, it will analyze the external environment of the hospital, and find out the external opportunities and threats. In Chapter 4, it will analyze the internal environment and make its own strengths and weaknesses clear. In Chapter 5, it will explore the strategic choice to implement the strategic objectives. In Chapter 6, it will put forward the principle of the strategy implementation, evaluation of control and the specific recommendations.In this paper, it will show us the identification and analysis of the internal and external environment of the Traditional Chinese medicine hospital in Huangpu District., analyze the competitive structure of the medical profession by combining Porter's five competitive forces model, study the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats in the development of the hospital, build the SWOT analysis model to the hospital, and draw a differentiation strategy in line with the actual in the survival and development by combining with the analysis of core competencies. In the course of the implementation of development strategies, it should establish the awareness of market competition, make the team-building, create the learning atmosphere, create the distinctive brand of Traditional Chinese medicine, speed up the construction of information, provide Humanistic health care services and so on, making the hospital in an invincible position in the fierce competition and finding a better room for the development. This article attempts to provide experience and lessons for Traditional Chinese medicine hospital in Huangpu District and similar hospitals.
