Objective: Explore the possibility of using mini-implants supporting the retention of dentition defect or lack of repair of severe alveolar ridge atrophy in patients with the feasibility of. To address serious alveolar ridge atrophy caused by lack of repair of dentition problems the elderly to provide a new treatment.Materials and methods: Case selection: Choice of 10 cases of clinically severe alveolar ridge atrophy or loss of dentition defect patients. Planting size Overdenture Case: four men and six wonwen. Age from 55 to 85-year-old. The average age is 68-year-old, no other system in patients with systemic disease. Treatment method: A total of 10 patients with 54 implants, 3.0 One of the mini-implant diameter 47, Standard-diameter implant 7. After implantation, Activities immediately to a temporary full-mouth denture reconstruction, Later to be the final repair implant stability.Results: By at least one year of clinical observation, a diameter of only 3.0 off the mini-imlant, the rest were good osseointegration. After the final denture repair, the use of patients and are satisfied with the results, without any symptoms and side effects.Conclusion: Supporting the use of mini-implant retention repair of severe alveolar ridge atrophy in patients with dentition defect or deficiency is an effective treatment.
