Clinical Efficacy On Treating IgA Nephropathy With Shenmao-Shiwei Decoction

Objectives: To observe the clinical effects of Shenmao Shiwei decoction on IgA-nephropathy urine erythrocyte count,protein-urine,urine protein of 24 hours,urineβ2 -MG,as well as serum immunoglobulin (IgG,IgM,IgA) and hemorheology of all patients were tested. Meanwhile try to explore the mechanisms of Shenmao Shiwei decoction on IgAN and provide an effective treatment way for this disease.Methods: 59 IgAN patients with difficent degree hematuria and proteinuria were chosen and divided into treatment group (30 cases) and contrast group (29 cases) at random. Patients of treatment group took the Shenmao Shiwei decoction one dosis everyday and add modern medicine conventional therapy;Patients of contrast group simple took the modern medicine conventional therapy only(Dispydamole(Persantine) combine with ACEI such as Benazepril (Lotensin),Fosinopril(Monopril)).Two groups all took 3 month as 1 course of treatment ,Observe the change of renal function and symptoms. Before and after therapy, test the change of urine erythrocyte count,urine protein of 24 hours, urine routine, as well as serum immunoglobulin (IgG, IgM, IgA),urineβ2-MG, renal function(serum creatinine(Scr) and blood urea nitrogen (BUN))and the chinical symptom score of TCM. The effects of both groups were compared after therapy.Results:(1) Compared with hematuria and proteinuria in treatment group before and after treatment, there was significant improment (P<0.01,P<0.01). Compared with those in contrast groupbefore and after treatment, only proteinuria improved distinctly(P<0.01,P>0.05). Compared with those in both groups after treatment, hematuria in treatment group decreased remarkably than that in contrast group(P<0.01). And proteinuria improved more obviously(P<0.05).(2) After treatment, serum IgA in treatment group improved distinctly(P<0.01),and it was much more obvious than that in contrast group(P<0.01). (3) After treatment, urinep2-MG in treatment group improved distinctly(P<0.01), and it was much more obvious than that in contrast group(P<0.01).(4) The clinical effects and symptoms of treatment group was obviously superior to those of contrast group(P<0.01).Conclusion: Shenmao Shiwei decoction can remarkably improve clinical symptoms and reduce the excreation of urinary erythrocyte and protein, and decrease serum IgA. So Shenmao Shiwei decoction is one of valuable pure traditional Chinese medicine decoction for the treatment of IgAN.
