Objective:To probe the pathogenesis,epidemiology,clinical and pathological features of Sweet syndrome,which means to get to know the disease better and provide information for the diagnosis and therapy of it.Methods:69 patients with Sweet syndrome were recruited in this study. General information,etiological factors,general states,skin lesions, laboratory examination and pathogenesis results of these patients were recorded and analysised with SPSS11.5 statistical software.Results:A total of 69 patients were recuited.37(53.6%) of them were male and 32(46.7%) were female.Their age range from 8 to 81 with an average of 45.38±16.04.56.5%of all the patients were in the group of 41-60 years old,accounting for the most of all the groups.The onset and aggravation of Sweet syndrome is concerned with defatigation and solarization in many patients,accounting for 43.5%and 26.1%.The onset of 2 patients(2.9%) is concerned with drugs and 7(10.1%) with cancer.38 (55.1%) of all the patients had fever,and the pecentage is not as high as reported before.66(95.7%) of 69 patients felt painful on their skin lesions and 30(43.5%) felt pruritic.The temperature of 59(85.5%) patients'skin lesions were higher than normal skin.20 patients'lab examination results were collected.9(45.0%) were found elevated leukocytes and 11(55.0%) were found elevated neutrophils.Elevated immune globulin was found in some patients.2(2.9%) patients were found neutrophils infiltration in epidermis and 6(8.7%) were found in subcutaneous tissue.Most of the skin lesions resolved greatly in one week after therapy.48(69.6%) of all the patients recurred in one year, including all the Malignancy-associated Sweet syndrome patients.Conclusion:1,The prevalence of Sweet syndrome in females might not be higher than males.2,Sweet syndrome is a disease observed mostly in youth and middle aged people.3,Fever should not be considered to be the most important diagnosis factor.4,Whether there is vasculitis finding in biopsy of Neutrophilic dermatosis of the dorsal hands may depends on the time we exame.5,Lymphocytes and eosinophils can also be found in Sweet's syndrome.6,Neutrophils infiltration is not only in the dermis but also in the epidemis and subcutaneous tissues.7,The recurrence rate of Sweet syndrome is high.
