Objective: To observe the clinical effect of Kangfuyuyangtang(KFYYT) on anti-relapse of Peptic Ulcer(PU) and deeply explore etiology and pathogenesis which come from the two aspects of theory and clinic. Methods: 60 cases patients with PU were randomly divided into the treatment group (30 cases) and the control group (30 cases). The treatment group was given KFYYT, and the control group was given Xiangshaliujunziwan (XSLJZW).6 weeks were set as a course of treatment. Compared with the changes of above indexes that clinical effects, the improvement of gastroscope of each group in pre and post treatment. And for persons cured of PU were followed up 12 months, the efficacy of long-term anti-recurrence were observed. Results: Comparing treatment group to control group, all of the therapeutic effect of syndrome of TCM, the improvement of gastroscope, the long-term effect of anti-relapse on peptic ulcer of the treatment group are superior to that of the control group(P<0.01 or P<0.05). KFYYT can improve more significantly the symptoms such as stomachache, abdominal distention, belching, lassitude and anorexia than XSLJZW(P<0.01 or P<0.05). Conclusions: KFYYT appears to have the significant effect in resisting relapse of PU which mechanism might have been relations with regulating human′s immunity, enhancing gastrointestinal mucosa barrier, improving the microcirculation, acid-inhibitory, anti-inflammatory and etc.
