Clinical Observation Of The Decoction In Treating Childhood Nocturnal Enuresis (Except Syndrome Type Of Damp-Heat In Liver Meridian)

Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of the decoction based on SangPiaoXiao powder and GuiGanLongMu decoction on treating childhood nocturnal enuresis;to compare the decoction with the SuoQuan capsule on clinical efficacy;to investigate the pathogenic factors and pathogenesis of NE.Methods We divided 62 cases that we treated from December,2007 to October,2008 into two groups at random.All cases in the two groups had no statistical significance differences in age,gender,and the severity(P>0.05),thus they had possessing comparability.31 cases in treatment group,were treated with Traditional Chinese Medicine(YCM)decoction;31 cases in control group,were treated with SuoQuan capsule.Results In treatment group,11 patients were cured,19 patients'symptoms were improved,the total effective rate was 96.77%.In control group,10 patients were cured,16 patients'symptoms were improved,the total effective rate was 83.87%.There is no significant difference shown between two groups in the rates of effectiveness(P>0.0 5).The efficacy of hard to wake up in the treatment group was significant better than that in control group (P<0.05).There was neither side effect in the treatment period,or the recurrence in the follow-up period which was 2 months later after the treatment.Conclusion The decoction based on SangPiaoXiao powder and GuiGanLongMu decoction have exact curative effect in the treatment of NE children,the efficacy is better than SuoQuan capsule,but not significant.The decoction based on SangPiaoXiao powder and GuiGanLongMu decoction have significant efficacy in improving the symptom of hard to wake up.Using the decoction based on SangPiaoXiao powder and GuiGanLongMu decoction to treat NE children is safe.
