| Sijunzi Decoction was first recorded in the "Taiping Huimin Hejiju Fang-volume 3 (XinTian Zhuju Jingyan MiFang)" from Song dynasty, which is the basic prescription for nourishing the spleen and tonifying qi. Under the guidance of the basic theory of traditional Chinese medicine, Sijunzi decoction powder has its own advantages compared with the traditional slices. On one hand, it could increase the utilization rate of herb resources, save the decocting time as well as energy. On the other hand, it can promote the standardization of subsequent research and industrial production. By using modern technology and quality evaluation method, a series of systemic researches will be carried out including particle size optimization, decocting process, differences on chemical and fingerprint between Sijunzi decoction powder and traditional slices. In the study of particle size optimization, with the powder formability, the total decoction, extract rate as indexes, we ascertain the suitable size of medicinal materials in Sijunzi decoction by mathematical methods like H test or independent sample t-test. In the study of optimizing decoction process, with adding water, soaking time, decocting time, three main effects of decoction as parameters to inspect, with ginseng saponin, liquorice glycosides, glycyrrhizic acid, total decoction and polysaccharide content in water solution as evaluation index. By using grey correlation method to optimize the weight of indexes, we have determined the clinical decoction process of Sijunzi decoction powder preliminarily according to the result of comprehensive weighted score. In the comparative study of decoction effect between decoction powder and traditional slices, ginsenoside Rgi, ginsenoside Re, liquiritin, glycyrrhizic acid, yield of polysaccharide and dry extract were set as evaluating indicators, then evaluate boiling efficiency with determined weighing coeffients. The results have showed that 1 gram of decoction powder was equal to 1.28 gram of traditional slices in physicochemical dosage. In the comparative study of fingerprint between decoction powder and traditional slices, respective common patterns have been established, while common peaks and characteristic peaks have been identificated. It proves that there is no significant difference between decoction powder and traditional slices in internal components, which indicates that Sijunzi decoction powder can be used in place of Sijunzi traditional slices. The results suggest that the powder decoction has not only remained the characteristics of decocting, but also raised the herbs utilization ratio, which show the advantages in saving herb resources and boiling time. |
