Background:Nowadays, with the development of our life, people care more and more about the health,resulting in the promotion of pharmaceutical industry.And with the increase of the demanding for herbal medicines in this situation,the contraction between the supply and the need of the herbal medicines gradually emerges, which is contributing to the soaring of the price of the prepared slices of Chinese crude drugs, making the cost of Chinese medicine treatment rise a lot and bringing great burden to the society.How to make herbal treatment both effective and cost-low has become an urgent problem.The Chinese herbal medicine boiled powder can not only maintain the efficiency of the traditional Chinese medicine, but also can save the Chinese herbal medicine,as it costs less in making it due to the simplicity of the making process. What’s more, it can save money and reduce the economic burden of the patients.We can see that it has huge social benefit.Gegen qinlian decoction is composed of the root of kudzu vine, scutellaria baicalensis, the rhizome of Chinese goldthread and prepared radix glycyrrhizae.lt can removing damp-heat of the stomach and intestine,and has the effect of diabetes treatment.Professor Tong Xiaolin has treated the comorbid obesity with type2diabetes mellitus with gegen qinlian decoction adds rhizoma zingiberis.He and his team have conducted clinical validation study.They found that Gegen qinlian decoction adds rhizoma zingiberis is effective on reducing blood glucose.In addition, based on the previous research fingdings,our team has established a refined technique of making Chinese herbal medicine boiled powder.This research uses gegen qinlian decoction,gegen qinlian decoction boiled powder and1/2dose of gegen qinlian decoction boiled powder to treat type2diabetic rats.Compared their healing efficacy in order to provide theoretical and methodological for the clinical using.Objectives:To investigate comparison of gegen qinlian decoction,gegen qinlian decoction boiled powder and1/2dose of gegen qinlian decoction boiled powder adjust for type2diabetic rats blood sugar.Methods:SD rats fed high-fat and intraperitoneal injection small doses of chain with STZ to making models of diabetic rats. Divided the glucose qualified rats into model group, metformin hydrochloride enteric-coated tablets group, gegen qinlian decoction group,gegen qinlian decoction boiled powder group and1/2dose of gegen qinlian decoction boiled powder group.Pure water, metformin hydrochloride enteric-coated tablets group, decoction,boiled powder,1/2boiled powder intragastric administration for12weeks. the same amount of pure water intragastric administration to normal group.Then measure the body weight, glucose tolerance test (OGTT), glycosylated serum protein (GSP) to compare the control of glycemic before and after intragastric administration,and draw the conclusions.Results:1OGTT:After fourth weeks, compared with model group, metformin hydrochloride enteric-coated tablets group,gegen qinlian decoction group,gegen qinlian decoction boiled powder group and1/2dose of gegen qinlian decoction boiled powder group,the blood glucose in0minute were significantly different (p<0.01), metformin hydrochloride enteric-coated tablets group in30minutes and60minutes after glucose load had significant difference (p<0.05). It indicated that intragastric administration for fourth weeks, each dose group of fasting blood glucose (0minute) decreased significantly.And the metformin group after glucose load both in30minutes and60minutes glucose decreased significantly.8weeks of intragastric administration of metformin group compared with model group, fasting blood glucose decreased significantly (p<0.05). In30minutes after glucose load,compared with the model group, fasting blood glucose (0minute) of gegen qinlian decoction group,gegen qinlian decoction boiled powder group and1/2dose of gegen qinlian decoction boiled powder group decreased without significant difference (p>0.05). After glucose load60minutes,90minutes,120minutes,compared with the model group,each dose group had no significant difference (p>0.05).It indicated that in8th weeks of intragastric administration of metformin group had an impact on fasting blood glucose (0minute), and the rest of the intragastric administration group had no significant effect on the fasting blood glucose.After glucose load in30minutes,60minutes,90minutes and120minutes,each dose group had no significant effect on blood glucose. Compared with the model group, there are no significant differences (p>0.05) after12th weeks in each dose group of fasting blood glucose (0minute), after the glucose load in30minutes,60minutes,90minutes and120minutes.It indicated that the intragastric administration12th weeks, each dose group had no significant effects on blood glucose. 2.GSP:Compared with the model group GSP,after4th weeks of intragastric administration, there were no significant differences among metformin hydrochloride enteric-coated tablets group,gegen qinlian decoction group,gegen qinlian decoction boiled powder group and1/2dose of gegen qinlian decoction boiled powder group (p<0.05).Comparison between the dose groups,there are no statistically significance(p>0.05).It indicated that in the4th week of intragastric administration, each dose group had lower level of GSP. compared with the model group,after intragastric administration of8th weeks and12th weeks, there are no significant differences..It indicated that when intragastric administration of8weeks and12weeks, each dose group did not significantly affect GSP.Conclusion:The type2diabetic rats induced by high fat diet in combination with small dose of intraperitoneal injection of STZ.intragastric administered for4th weeks, gegen qinlian decoction1/2boiled powder group and gegen qinlian decoction group had a trend of considerable effect in reducing blood sugar.And there is no significant difference compared with the positive control drug.It may cause the high blood sugar of rats. This research suggests that gegen qinlian decoction boiled powder may save more materials and decocting time than gegen qinlian decoction.
