Objective: Detailedly collecting the illness history, symptom and objective sign, studying the ordinary mode of asthenopia and the scales of each mode, offering basis for early diagnosis and therapy of amblyopia. Methods: Portraying the 52 definite children of amblyopia as studying case, conducting study comparing the physical survey. Results: The survey shows that the high-frequency appeared symptom is hyperkinetic behavior, the attention does not focus(71.15%). The yin of kidney and liver Deficiency type, The yang of spleen and kidney deficiency type, spleen and stomach weakness type mainly in the classification of visually-impaired. In the classes of amblyopia, the yin of kidney and liver Deficiency type more behaves ametropia, the yang of spleen and kidney deficiency type more behaves strabismus type . The yang of spleen and kidney deficiency type children more easily behave moderate and highly hypermetropia. Conclusions: From clinical observation, it confirms the pathogenesis that inherent defect of amblyopia , liver and kidney are both deficient; aposteriori lock, weakness of the spleen and stomach and insufficiency of vital energy and blood. The disease places are mainly in liver, spleen and kidney.
