Objectives: To investigate the therapeutical effect of the extractive of Cordyceps (EC)on mesangial glomerulonephritis and then to analyze the probalble mechanism to mesangial glomerulonephritis.Methods:1. To obtain the blood of rabbit from its heart and separate the platelets. To investigate the effect of the extractive of Cordyceps through the experimentation of platelet aggregation , induced by ADP and AA. Forty five male SD rats were used in this study. They were randomly assigned to the normal control group (NC group),the model control group(MC group),high dose of n-butanol extractive group (H-NE group), low-dose of n-butanol extractive group (L-NE group)and acetidin extractive group (AE group).All of them, except NC group, were used to duplicate the MN model by C-BSA caudal vein administration. The medication administration group were administrated repectively intragastric of corresponding drugs while others were fed with normal diet. Twenty four-hour urinary protein excretions at the end of 3th week after the initiation of experiment. Serum urea nitrogen (BUN),Creatinine (Cr),Albumin(ALB),Triglyceride(TG),Total cholesterol (TC) , red blood cell C3b receptor rosette (RBC-C3bRR) and immune complex rosette (ICR), blood viscosity, plasma viscosity , and the rate of platelet aggregation at the end of 5th week were measured in each group.Conclusion:The n-butanol extractive(NE)inhibited the platelet aggregation at the extraorgan experiment.The rat model of membranous nephropathy was duplicated successfully by cauda1 vein administration of C-BSA. EC had the effects of reducing urinary Protein excretion. Proteinuria level didreased in group of NE group and AE group.RBC-C3bRR was increased and ICR was decreased too. NE improve the function of platelet. No significance of serum BUN and Cr 1eve1s was found among all groups. Serum TG , CHO and LDL-C concentration increased markedly in MC group when compared with NC group (P<0.05). Significant diference in levels of TG, CHO and LDL-C was seen between MC group and 3 treated groups (P<0.05),with no significant difference among 3 treated groups. AE have some toxicity.Result: EC can delay the process of mesangial glomerulonephritis and the effect of low-dose of NE was better...
